I just could alpharooms.com and they seem very cheap. But, They are based in the uk. Can I still book threw them when I live in the us?

Thanks!!

I say yes because when I was doing research for Cypress Pointe....Alpharooms and Hotelopia had comparable prices and both are not in the US. I wound up booking with Hotelopia because I found a coupon somewhere but before that I was going to use Alpharooms because, if I remember correctly, they did not require the entire amount paid in full immediately.

I live in the US and used Alpharooms during spring break. No problems. They do show rates in USD as well as UK pounds. Yes, if your trip is far enough out you can pay a deposit only. I have also used hotelopia, again, not a problem. They're happy to take our USD!:thumbsup2

I also used alpharooms.com for a 1 nt. stay at Sheraton Safari last Nov. and I live in the US. I even had a few questions and they called me to answer them. The rep was so friendly and helpful. I did pay in full at that time b/c it was only for 1 nt. and wasn't booking that far in advance. She waived the fee they are supposed to charge for using a cc by phone.
I was a little leary at first so I posted on the UK boards to ask if it was a reputable company. I received many responses from people who've used them in the past with good results.
Everything was fine with our stay and would use them again if the price was right. :goodvibes

Hi
Alpharooms are based about 20 miles away from me in UK, used them a few times no problems as said above also look at Hotelopia they are owned by Tui, a German company but have strong connections with UK, they also own Thomsons one of our main tour operators.
I have used Hotelopia more this year as there are 10% discount codes around (was 15% in Jan) and we also get 10% cashback thru Quidco.com(doubt thats available to US residents but have a look) but no hesitations using Alpharooms either.
H/opia Downside is paying upfront but its only £15(about $30) fee to cancel, I just cancelled POR with them this past few weeks as Annual pass rate came out for AKL which was a similar rate to what I had paid for POR.
Alpha you only pay deposit but not sure about cancellation policy, never have.
If you are wanting to book with a big company then its H/opia, Tui is one of biggest travel Co's in the world. Alpha are still small but very reputable.
