This trip may have me alone with an 8, 4 and 2 yr. old. We've been to Disney many times and know our way around pretty well so I'm not too nervous. I'm planning on bringing a lightweight stroller & also a harness for my wild baby, I'm looking for any tips you all may have for me for the plane and the hotel etc. I was thinking of shipping food down ahead of time to save me the trouble of buying cereal, juice boxes, snacks etc. I'll get milk from the resort. I get the best ideas here!

Thanks!

Where are you staying? Pop is very easy for moms alone. The baby pool is easy and lots of fun and the playground and pop jets are fun too. One thing we always did is use the train to go from front to back and vice versa at MK. My MIL went with us and took my ds (2 yrs old) back to the hotel by herself by using the train and he fell asleep! As for flying, gate check your stroller so you will have it with you. And ship alot of stuff down there that you would normally travel with in your carry-on (extra changes of clothes incase luggage is lost, toiletries) that way you can just travel with the bare minimum and check an empty suitcase for putting stuff in to go home. Going through security will be so much faster if you don't have too much with you. I had my kids pack a small backpack that they could carry for their toys and then I had the dvd player in my carry-on along with a book for me(that I didn't read!) and a few snacks and that was it.

:thumbsup2 Good idea! That's what I'm looking for! I also like the train at MK suggestion too. I usually forget that it stops on the other sides of the park.
I'll be at Saratoga Springs. My kids love the splash pad and the quiet pools. My son's a good swimmer on swim team and everything and I have life jackets for the other 2 kids.

Thanks for the ideas!
Any more tips are welcome!!!:listen:

you might consider ordering from gardengrocer.com instead of shipping. They delivered our order to our room at VWL.

If you plan on using ME to get from the airport to your resort don't forget to pack what you'll need for the day. If you are arriving early your room may not be ready so you could be without your luggage for a significant amount of time. Have a supply of diapers (if needed) and swimsuits if you plan to swim when you arrive.

When my MIL went last June she arrived to the resort before 11am but did not have access to her luggage until almost dinner time.

This really applies to everyone but in your case it could be a real challenge.

Good luck!:thumbsup2

I have no tips for you but just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world! I have a 5 year old (who has ADHD) and a 21 month old and I just couldn't do it alone now. One day....

Good luck to you!

Hi, This may not be the kind of thing you are looking for. But, knowing my own 8 year old, it I were to go down without another older person, I would have to talk with him long before we went down about what will happen with those rides he wanted to go on that I couldn't take the younger ones on. He is big into the thrill rides now so that dilemna would need to be worked out long before we got to the park gates.

Cute pictures!! I would love to stay at POP, but I'm using dvc points. DVC doesn't let us use our points at a value resort. We should go to POP sometime just to look around. We've stayed at All Star Music a few times because my son loves it and we used our AP to get a good rate. We may have to do that with Pop Century.
