I have a couple of questions I'm hoping you guys can answer for me

1. does the shower have one of those drying lines you can hang bathing suits on? I don't remember the CR having it last year

2. at the CR you can swipe your room card in the laundry machines to charge it to your room, is it the same at the Poly?

Tinkermom: The showers do have a clothes line that you can pull out and stretch across the length of the tub. I always hang our wet bathing suits up to dry in there.

Not sure about the laundry machines, but I don't remember ever hearing that you could use your card to pay for them, I think you need cash for them.

The bathrooms definitely have the line, and in fact our balcony had a clothesline on the railing as well! I'm not sure about the laundry machines, we didn't use them, but I'd bet they would have a way to charge to your room.

At the Poly, the last I knew the showers DO have the clothes line to pull out to use. As far as the laundry goes-only quarters! (We always bring 2 rolls & just tried the new Purex sheets-not bad to use! Saves you from paying for detergent/softner there & have the thing be empty-I gave a lady a few of my sheets)

Two weeks from today we check into the Polynesian! Just added a request for the first floor this morning. I can't wait!

For our second trip back to the Poly - we are able to stay CL with a military discount! We are super excited.... so now I am trying to learn all about the ins and outs of CL before we go.


Can you/ is is acceptable to get food from Captain Cooks (like pizza for the kids) and bring it back to the lounge to eat?


The reason I ask is because one of our nights there DH and I are going on a date night to Epcot and we have a babysitter coming to take care of the boys.

We were hoping we could go get food for them and have them eat at the lounge with the sitter (instead of giving her money to go get food) right before they go to bed.

The lounge is for your enjoyment!! You can use it 24 hours a day while you are there! I have brought food from captain cooks and let the kids watch wishes while we ate. The only problem you may run into is if they are serving a meal/ snack in the lounge. ( it makes finding a table difficult). Another suggestion, you can let them munch on the evening meal on the lounge.(cost nothing, and the food is really tasty!

captn. cooks was alwyas crazy and loud and packed so several times we got our food and went back to the much quieter lounge, you paid big bucks to use the lounge!! go for it!

Ohhhhh....I am so jealous! Have a great trip

Looks like water park weekend for us. I think I will put some Poly music in my ipod, get myself a cocktail and sit in the chlorine smell filled room and pretend I am sitting at the Volcano pool.

I requested Samoa 3rd floor, I just went for it because that is what I would want if I could get anything...so I figured go for it...whats the worst that could happen

I would still be at my DREAM resort the POLY

Definitly yes on the clothesline, but the washer and dryer only take quarters.
