Hi, I am looking to book either the Aloha dinner show or a signature restaurant. We are traveling with a 6yo and an almost 4yo. Which is better? And which signature would you recommend for our family? TIA.

I really liked the Spirit of Aloha Show. I thought it was a lot of fun and something about it screamed Disney to me, even though it was South Seas based. I see it as one of those things that you have to try at least once.

You can eat at a fine dining establishment anywhere but unless your traveling to Hawaii you won't be able to see a show like the Spirit of Aloha.

That being said, the food was pretty good but certainly not phenomenal, though most folks not visiting for the food.

Hey there Jack!

Jake is correct. The Aloha dinner show is an experience that you must have at least once. The only thing I'd advise is keep in mind the time of year you are going ... unless something has changed since the last time I went ... the show is outside and it bytes to be sitting out there sweating in the heat and humidity while your trying to eat and enjoy a show. Let's not forget the fact that you are traveling with two young children who probably had a full day at the park before going to that dinner show ... if it is hot will the heat crank them out and spoil your dinner experience?

I hope you're not mis-reading my message! I just don't want you to have a bum dinner ... regardless of the reason! Vacation is great but nobody wants regrets as souvenirs. :headache:

Some people are more or less susceptible to the heat ... you just have to know what your preference is and what the typical weather is for the time of year you are going. :thumbsup2

We went last year when mine dd's were 3 1/2 and 6. They loved it, especially my 6 yo. After the show was over we went for a ride on the monorail and back to Poly to play on the beach and watch Wishes and the electric boat parade. It was a fun filled yet relaxing evening.

I'll post a counterpoint to the others. We took my son to the Spirit of Aloha show when he was 4 and he absolutely hated it. I ended up having to leave early because of it! It was a very hot day, which probably contributed to it. Also, bear in mind that if it's raining the show will be cancelled. I would recommend Hoop de Doo or California Grill as other options to consider...
