So basically regardless of the good AP rates for the Polynesian, it's probably a good idea not to stay there next week.

Reservations offered me a Garden View - Club Level room at the Polynesian including the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan for $4729.69. I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not, but they seemed to be trying to really push the Polynesian.

Not sure what you would call it, but when I called the WDW reservation number 407-560-2428 to change mine, the person put me on hold came back and quoted me Garden View - Club Level room at the Polynesian including the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan for $4729.69.

I posted this in the construction thread but figured I'd put it here too since a lot of people are asking about which long house to request:

under room type: put in garden view (non-club), queen or king beds (whatever you prefer) and then hit "show matching rooms" , most of the longhouses will light up red (they have not updated this site since all of the eastern buildings, Pago Pago, Moorea and Tuvalu have turned to DVC studios, so ignore those). you can click on each of the longhouses to view the actual view from each room that you could have. have fun playing around with it. they did a great job with it!

We are booked right now for mid October Poly CL GV, in this category is it most likely we will be facing the construction? My son will be 20 months at the time and will need to take afternoon naps so this is a concern. If facing construction that closely maybe we should switch? But really want to stay at Poly! What are your thoughts?

We stayed CL at GF too so maybe that's why they were Keurigs. Thanks so much for the information! Just trying to plan out my oh so important cup of morning coffee

The Resort Maps offered to DVC buyers show the quiet pool as 'Opening Winter 2015'... which leads me to believe December 2015.

Therefore, construction fences will most likely be up until that time.

As for the actual construction, most of the heavy equipment required for tear-down, re-pouring, and new structures, will likely have already occured by Oct/Nov.

When we stayed CL at YC last August, we had the Cuisinart pod machines. I know YC is due for a refurb when they've finished with the BC. Wonder if they'll have keurigs after that, or if only GF has them?

Guessing there's no chance the main pool will be finished by the end of April? We have BC booked for the first week of May but just found out we have to change our dates...we've never stayed at the Poly so I'm considering it, but we like to swim a lot so the pool is very important!
