Tess, it's been a long time since I have spoken to you in a thread. I wanted to say hello and thank you for helping out others with all your Poly info. I decided to try the GF this trip but still have plans on eating at Kona, and Ohana's. Plus touring the Poly always makes me feel better. Take care and enjoy you next trip.

I *think* this photo from Tikiman's site shows the stairs/decks facing the lagoon. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The description said the photo was taken from Sunset point, with the MK behind, showing the end of Tokelau.

This is making me sad. I am really looking forward to my next trip to the Polynesian in 27 days, but this will be our last time staying there for a little while.

I feel sad for you too since that is our problem too. I hope that you will be going back to WDW just not the Poly It took us 22 years to get back here and this will be it for us. We are now DVC'ers so it makes little sense for us to go back.

Anyone know if the gift shop at the Poly sells the white Vinylmation Mickey? Can I find it anywhere outside of the parks? We are coming in on a Thursday afternoon and won't be going to the parks on arrival day. We WILL be eating with Mickey and friends that night however (Chef Mickey's), and would like the Vinylmation Mickey to start our autograph collecting for this trip. Thanks in advance!

Just paid my ressie yesterday with my TA's help. It looked like we were going to have to cancel because I had most of the money and more was comming just not in time. My TA couldn't change the Ressie because they are booked but she could lower our ticket package to a one day package which gave me the wiggle room to pay!!! Wouldn't ya know last night after all the commotion my DH financial aid we have been waiting on since Sept was finally approved!! All of our money was going to his endless school expenses. Now the money is definitely there and we are on our wayDh has been working seveal Jobs while going for his PHD. My Fibro has been making it hard jsut to keep up with the kids so we really need this trip.

Yesterday I was just too stressed to believe it was going to happen but now I raring to go!

I cant wait to post pics of the trip.

Breezysmom thanks for keeping the Poly spark alive on this thread. It really helped to keep me focused on our wonderful trip the past few weeks When I just wanted to give up i'd come here and remember what I was fighting to save.

I've been reading the on-line check in thread - it seems that people have had widely different experiences - good and bad.

Can anyone tell me about on-line check in at the Poly?

We are going as part of a Grand Gathering and the other two families will be arriving one day before us. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

(also - I really wanted to see my ticker - 3 weeks to go!)

I agree with you, and we are keeping our trip a secret from the little ones, which is killing me...I'm not sure if I will last.

Thanks for the good wishes guys! Just four weeks and DH and I will be in a hammock watching wishes while the kids play in the sand. MMMMMM I can feel the breeze now

I know what you mean. I don't benifit from the exchange rate but it is funny how the recession has helped us go two years in a row. It took us 15 years to get back but with 40% off we can squeek a trip in twice! As social workers we have never done great finaincally which is why DH is back in school. The confines of the recession seem like normal everyday life to us with these Disney discounts being a big unexpected blessing

Doubt we will be back before he graduates so we're enjoying it while we can
