We enjoyed it! DH was skeptical, but ordered it. I had the Hawaiian flatbread pizza, DDad had a bacon cheeseburger... everyone liked their own choice and also shared bites with the others. But we all thought the Aloha Pork Sandwich was the best of the three, and I wouldn't hesitate to get that next time there! Nice mix of flavors.
It is my favorite thing to eat there--I always make sure I get one whenever I am at the Poly Even my non-pork-eating friends are jealous when I get it! It is nice to have something other than a cheeseburger sometimes.
They do have sushi--it's prepackaged in the Grab & Go case, but it was fresh and very good the one time I had it (it's the same kind they sell at Publix supermarkets down here).
Yes you are right! The Kona Island bar and Kona Cafe have sushi in the evenings and it is very good (I knew I'd had it somewhere else but couldn't remember where!)
Yes, the pork sandwich at the Poly is very good! The Polynesian chips (blend of potato, sweet potato, and wonton chips) that come with the meal is my favorite part.

Thanks for the picture! It looks like I may have to get it minus a few things. Otherwise it looks really good. I'm interested in the chips as well, that's a different combination.
We loved this sandwich so much that we ate here 3 times during our past trip (and we weren't even staying at the Poly!) Love the atmosphere of this resort.
The sandwich is pulled pork, tomato slices, thin slices of cucumber, onion and a light sprinkling of pineapple tidbits. You can pick up little containers of BBQ sauce near the drink machines if you want extra BBQ on your sandwich. The Poly Chips are fantastic. I plan to try making them here at home....but I doubt they taste as good as they did at the Poly.
We LOVE it, the chips are yummy too. I could only eat half the sandwich though, it's really huge, so I saved the other half and had it for a "snack" later on in our room. The other good thing is that you can make your own Dole Whip there for dessert.
The BBQ Pork sandwich was humongous and very good! The homemade Poly chips are sooo good we fought over them, some were wonton like, others were sweet potato and regular potato! The pork was very tender, melted in your mouth...nice tangy sauce with fresh pineapple, cucumber and tomato....awesome!
