Just checked in tonight and we are so excited to be here! Ahhh that Poly smell! We requested Fiji Marina View 3rd floor but got Fiji Marina View 1st floor which we are still very happy about! Got here with about 20 minutes to spare before Wishes so we went to Capt Cooks and got some of our favorites to eat by the pool during wishes.

Tomorrow will be a jam packed day with HS in the A.M and MK at night with ADR's at Tony's!

Thank you! Was a little worried- I didn't get my luggage from DME until 1:30am! My family got theirs around 11:00pm and we realized mine wasn't on the cart! Was freaking out a little, but they assured me everything would be ok and it was

Have a wonderful trip! I just love the Poly, even though I've never stayed there its my favorite resort and a tradition to visit there more than once and have a meal or two at Kona. Enjoy your trip!

We also had a 1st floor room and loved the huge patios and the ease of just walking out your patio door to the pool or GCH.

Try a Lapu Lapu at the bar, 2nd floor GCH...yummy tropical rum drink in a pineapple.

We had that happen to our luggage one trip too. It somehow got separated and two bags arrived hours before the 3rd. I was worried. It showed up several hours later, no problem. Fortunately, we keep everything we need for our first evening in our carry-ons, so if we have such a problem, our vacation doesn't suffer.

Thank you everyone!! Another great day! Beautiful and not a drop of rain which is good news because the rest of the week is questionable Crossing our fingers for more nice days until we leave on June 3rd. Sat by the Poly pool in the morning until early afternoon to take advantage of the beautiful sun!! Oh and great news- the monorails are on a regular schedule again and aren't closed in the afternoon hours right now!!

I have a question about that drink in a pineapple at the Poly, are you allowed to take it out of the bar or are you committed to drinking it there? I know you can't have food/drinks on the deck of the pool, but I would love to take it on the beach with me or drink it on my patio at my room. Anyone know??


Tonight we ate at Tony's. Had an awesome server named April who was great with checking in on us, extremely friendly, and really good with my daughter. Our entrees were good. I got the seafood diovlo, my mom got the NY Strip, and my daughter got the Mickey shaped ravioli. Can't remember what my dad got but enjoyed their meal! The only part that bummed us out was that they have really reduced the size of the calamari appetizer. I guess I could see it being smaller if apps were still a part of the dining plan, but now with having to pay for appetizers while on the dining plan, we were really disappointed. It was barely enough to share. We ate there a few years back and remember it to be more breaded and plenty to share. Anyway, no big deal, we still had a great meal!

You can take the Lapu Lapu wherever you like!! Just be prepared for questions on what it is, and where it can be found.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong...I believe glasses and bottles are not allowed on the pool deck or beach areas, but plastic cups, cans...and pineapples are allowed.
