25 hours and a few minutes till we take off. Wife just gone to work to do her last shift. I gotta mow the front lawn and that is more or less it. I am starting to feel quite sick now cause of the flight, but as soon as the rubber kisses the ground at Newark I will be fine, but feel terrible now, the excitement has gone for me now the flying fear has kicked in!!!!! Why is there no Atlantic tunnell ha ha

i totally know what you mean!! i am so terrified of flying that i feel ill before the flight....actually for months and months before a flight..

i know i have to fly to the US for our cruise in october, yet it makes me so ill to think about it, i haven't even booked the flight yet..

but in the end, i do get on the plane and make it to the other side!!

usually, i'm not too bad on the flight....but in the lead up

more than once, i've thought about taking a ship across, but i just don't have the time, so i'm stuck with planes.....

in any case, have a wonderful time!!!!!!!!!!!

I am exactely the same. I LOVE Disney, but wish there was a way of getting there with no planes involved!!

That could be me. The excitement was at a peak last week then when I broke up on Friday I cannot stop counting the hours and havent and won't eat anything till we land. As you say actually on it mid air I can cope but are like a coiled spring ready to go off. And between me and u, at some point during the first half hour, I will cry!!!!!

I did look at cruising over and this year cause we are away for almost 5 weeks we would have had the time and the cost of virgins flights believe it or not there is not a massive difference as long as yr happy with the cheaper cruise lines. But its still 5 days each way.

All if the fear is slightly outweighed by the desire to go because I know when the wheels touchdown we will have a fab time.

Although, that doesn't help me today. Ha ha

I'm exactly the same. I get nervous/excited and end up feeling sick but that usually goes away once we're in the air

I am a lot better then I used to be about getting on a plane..but once I am on it I am fine (unless we get bad turbulance). I think it's because once I am airbourne there is nothing I can do about the situation its out of my hands. Up to that point there is something I can do about the situation and thats not to board the plane! Luckily my need to get to WDW is far greater and I just do it

Thanks everyone, I think its the helplessness if something happened and in any other circumstance you can protct the kids. I wasn't as bas before kids.

Anyway this time tom almost 2 hours into the flight.

Just cut front lawn so it doesn't look like a hillbilly ranch.

Off to get a couple more bottles of factor 50 and a pizza later then bed by 6.

Me too! I love all the planning but until I land at MCO in October I have to try and block out the flying part as much as possible
