After weeks of fighting these critters they are nearly gone. Now, since one flea lays like a million eggs, one is too many. But I sprayed, I powdered, I bought commercial spray and a pump applicator, still fleas. And right now I have no cat or dog. Unbelievable. Finally I bombed with foggers in every room. This killed the majority of them but I was still seeing some. Then I read about mixing 3parts borax and 1 part salt. It is killing them. When I sweep it up I can see the dead fleas in it. It is also supposed to make the eggs burst. You are supposed to leave it down for awhile so I am walking around in socks with this coating of dust all over everything. My sons friends are miserable since we are the beach house and I have said nobody can come in til this problem is solved.

Borax is great!

Also, if your pets are allowed indoors, I highly recommend buying some Advantage or Frontline for them...you apply it to their backs and it kills fleas once they make contact.

I like in an area where most people have a huge flea problem with indoor pets, but I find these products work great. You can get them from your vet's and I think some PetsMarts or Petcos may sell them OTC

I have no pets. (except a hedgehog in a cage who is definitely flea free) We lost our older cat about 4weeks ago and he had frontline on. It was after he was gone that the problem started. What I need is something to treat the house with. They have nothing to feed on but ankles.
