Almost 40 inches

Very strcit, but our experience has only been with Disneyland. Dd loves ToT and it is oner of her favroite rides. She was 44", but they would still measure her when entering the line. It was so funny because she'd definitely pass the line with a few inches to spare. We rode it back to back once and again she was singled out when entering the line to be measured. We had just gone through the line about 15 minutes before. And it was the exact same CM as before.

Dd is now 47 1/2 inches tall. We have 2 1/2 months before our trip to WDW. We've been feeding her tall glasses (12oz)of milk during each meal(3X a day). (Prior to this, we were lucky if she'd finish an 8oz glass of milk a day.) I think it's working.

Were you carrying her on TOT? If you carry a kid, they will generally measure them. Happened to use on TOT with my son. I *told* him "if I pick you up they will measure you, and you know they sometimes mess up with a second measurement" (last Sept on Star Tours he failed the second measurement b/c he slouched) but he wanted to see what he couldn't see, and yep, they measured him. It was fine, though.

About the milk, you might want to look at the realities of dairy and calcium...that much milk probably isn't doing her much real good, as digesting that protein takes more calcium from the body than they add to the milk. It's why osteoporosis is so prevalent in dairy-consuming countries...we're all at calcium deficits.

We went on a family trip in Feb. and my nephew is small for his age ( 5 & 42" now). He was just shy of the 40" in bare feet but in tennis shoes just right! Bring the biggest soled shoes y'all have but measure before you leave home so you know for sure if the shoe fits!!

Good luck and have a great trip!!

DD(4 1/2) is over 44 inches tall...so we have to deal with the 4 year old who wants to ride the grownup rides! But I will say that they are DEFINATELY strict about height requirements. One CM even held DD's feet down to make sure she wasn't standing on her tip toes (which did not go over very well with DH since the CM scared the life out of her doing that) But, that being said, I'm glad they are strict. I'd hate the thought of my kid getting injured because a CM thought she was "about right".

I think this is something everyone planning a Disney vaca has to think about. Our cousin's kids are REALLY tiny for their ages. After a trip where the 6 year old couldn't get on things my DD had gotten on at 2/3 years old (and of course told him that she had gotten on), they have decided not to take another Disney vaca until the kids are both 48 inches.

My children are very short. I measured them last night against the wall, one is just over 38 in, and the other is just a hair short of 40 in. I hope they both shoot up over the summer, but that is more for school uniforms rather than the rides. ;)

My DS who is now 9 was 40" when he was 2 1/2 years old.

DD who is 4 1/2 is now just 40". She is dying to go on the "big rides" at WDW. We're not going until October, so at 5 yo, she'll finally be able to ride the 40" rides. Woo Hoo!

My DS is 27 months old and is right about 39". We are going in October and I hope he hits 40". He is a little daredevil and we take him on EVERYTHING he is big enough for. I really want him to do Soarin' and BTMRR if he can in October.

My niece is TINY. We want to take her to Disney with us but not until she is at least 44" (we want her to be able to go on almost everything). She is 7 1/2 and still not quite there.....my son and her will probably hit that height at the same time and he is 5 years younger.

Our son is about 39 inches tall and will be turning 4 in August. He is really a dare devil and loves to ride bigger rides at our local amusement park. By January, I'm sure he will be at or beyond the 40 inch mark.

he's so excited about riding Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Tower of Terror.
