I have no idea how busy the bus is for EMH, but if the first bus is packed take the second one. Personally if I see crazy filled buses and lines, I would head to my car. Don't forget you have a wait for the bus back needing a seat also.
Hope someone that has done this during the time of season you are gong would help.
If you're going for AM EMH, it would most likely be quicker to drive your car and it would ensure you a seat. You would most likely be parked close to the TTC where you could walk or take a quick tram ride to the TTC and then take the monorail or the boat to the MK. If it's for PM EMH, you would most likely have to wait for a parking lot tram to get you the TTC before getting on the monorail/boat. Taking the bus from the All Stars, you are definitely not guaranteed a seat but there's a chance the bus will be quicker since you are driven straight to MK, not having to stop at the TTC first.
Either way, if it's PM EMH, you will most likely have a long wait for the bus back to the resort or a wait for the monorail/boat to the TTC and probably another wait for the tram to the parking lot.
If being guaranteed a seat is important, you may want to drive. In fact, that is why I've rented cars while visiting WDW. I get a little irritated with waiting for buses and being squeezed onto the buses like sardines. I've had to stand with my kids. One time my son fell asleep standing and I had to hold onto to him and our bags, while trying to not fall down.
Bus. If you're not on the Seven Sea Lagoon or Bay Lake the bus is always faster to MK. If you take your car then you have to take either the ferry or monorail from the transportation center parking lot to MK.
I suggest being at the bus platform an hour in advance of when you want to get there. If you get out there just a half hour in advance, there may be so many others waiting that you can't get on the first bus, and the second bus doesn't make rope drop.
