This is our first stay at a value resort and we're looking forward to checking 'em out. However, we are used to having decent toiletries there. I know there is that dispenser thingie. My question is.....how effective is the shampoo? I hate the thought of yucky hair all day long. If it isn't any good, then I'll just fill up a few Mickey shampoo dispensers. I just didn't want to use the space in a carry-on bag. Any thoughts????

I would just bring your own shampoo. That way you have no worries about your hair.

Uh oh....I think I sounded like my hair is all important to me!!! Nope. I don't even blow dry it. I guess I just wanted to know if the shampoo that's in the dispenser is the same as what's in the individual bottles you get at the mods and deluxes. Sorry if I sounded snooty.

I didn't think you sounded snooty. I just think it is easier to take my own then I don't have to worry about what type they have. I am not a big fan of the shampoo in the Mickey bottles.

the dispenser worked fine in my room. i did bring my own shampoo but never used it cuz the dispenser was so convenient

I bring my own shampoo, but have used the shampoo at Resort I didn't notice a big differance. The less you have to pack the easier you'll trip will be. I wonder how many full shampoo & conditioner bottles have been left behind at check-out. (I'm always leaving mine)

The problem is that the dispensers no longer have the labels on them, you don't know for sure you actually getting the shampoo. I always bring my own in a little travel size container.

Those dispensers are one of the reasons I hate to stay at the ASR, but sometimes we have to stay if we can't afford a mod at the time. . .

We take shampoo with us. The dispensers' labels are off and I have to use a TON to get it to suds in my hair. The last trip, one side was out and they never filled it the whole 10 days we were there. Luckily I had a small bottle of shampoo I brought with me in my makeup bag.
