Allocation on arrival Villa

Hi everyone,

I just wondered whether anybody has any experience of this and if so what was the villa like?

We booked the holiday as a package with Florida 4 less (Part of Co-op) in July last year to go from Birmingham on 27th July 2012.

Our flights are with Thompson and we were glad to be able to get flights from Birmingham as that is where we are from. We decided to go for the allocation on arrival villa. All they tell you is that it is in the Disney area within a 20 minute drive of the disney parks. We also have car hire included which they told us will be something similar to a Ford Focus.

I stayed in a villa when I was a kid but wondered if anybody has any experience of going allocation on arrival with the villa because I know it is a little risky. Just looking for good or bad experiences that anyone may have had.

Also, are we likely to get seperated on the flight? There is myself, my girlfriend and my 9 year old daughter and I really don't want her to have to sit on her own for 10 hours on the flight.

We have booked allocation on arrival with Thomson on 2 occasions (both Silver villas) and have been very lucky with the standard of the villas and the location.

Only one bad experience - My mam and dad booked with Thomas Cook one year and had problems with the villa being unclean on arrival, given keys for a different villa and when they arrived it was already occupied then being given the keys to another unclean villa and having to arrange cleaners to come and change the bedding/towels etc, unhelpful resort staff). All this was resolved within a matter of hours but it was still annoying for them to have all the hassle and driving around after a 9 hour flight.

The villas were advertised as 'Disney area villas' within 20 minutes from the parks and they were true to the description.

We have travelled as a family of 4, a family of 5 and a family of 6 and have never been seperated on the flight.

Pretty much all of the villa's are around a 20 minute drive from the Disney parks. Most of them will be at the end of the 192 as you turn onto Hwy 27 in both directions.
