Hello all,

I am justing kinda jumping in here and starting my own food and exercise journal. I have been eating healthy for over a month now and have lost 6 pounds! Yay me!! :flower: And I am trying to immerse myself into a healthier lifestyle and I guess everything I can do will help.
Here's my bio:
I am 27 years old, my husband Russell and I have been married 5 years this July, we have one daughter, Keilani who just turned 3 in March. We live in Florida (30 minutes east of Disney World!) and try visit often. I have spent the past 6 years gaining 70 pounds and I am finally ready to lose it once and for all!!!

Food Journal day 1:
breakfast: Kashi GoLean cereal with 2%milk and strawberries
Lunch: Chinese steamed chicken & vegetables with sauce on the side and white rice
Dinner: Savory Lemon chicken, plain egg noodles & cauliflower
dessert: sugar free jell-o with fat free coolwhip
Snack: 2 Snackwells Blackforest cookies

Exercise:
Inner and outer thigh lifts in the morning.

I took advice from other posters regarding a site called fitday.com yesterday. I plugged in everything I ate along with my activities. I was pleasently surprised by how many calories I actually took in and how many I burned!

Here is my journal for day 2 (yesterday)
Breakfast: Kashi GoLean cereal with strawberries and milk
Snack: applesauce
Lunch: 1/2 turkey sub with lettuce and tomato ONLY, on wheat and 8oz. 2% milk
Dinner: Yummy Pork Chops, baked sweetpotato with butter & brown sugar, steamed greenbeans and iced tea
dessert: Healthy choice ice cream bar and 1 snackwells chocolate cookie
Total calories: 1240

Exercise: I went to the gym and spent only 11 minutes on the elliptical trainer but still managed to burn 140 calories. I also did universal weights for triceps, chest and abs. According to fitday.com with work, the gym, cooking dinner, and making my daughters bed I burned about 725 yesterday. :cool1:

I am so happy I did so well. Hopefully Mondays weigh-in will be great!!

Looks like you are on the right track. I think journaling my food plan helps me alot and has really gone along way in making me realize when I slipped and why.
