Thanks to RMD at the Lodge for these pictures.

Those are great. I've always wanted to see an alligator at WDW. Of course, I love alligators - They are so...neat.

Great pics! We searched and searched when there, and never spotted one!

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Ever since I read that alligator thread, I've been having bad alligator dreams! This doesn't help! lol I picture us walking by the river at POFQ and an alligator charging out of the water at us!!!

How about putting a bunch in where 20K leagues was, and making it an attraction again :p

This reminds me of the time we were staying at the Contemporary and taking one of the boats out of the marina. My wife said she wanted to dangle her feet in the water and I told her it wasn't a good idea. She turned to the CM who was getting the boat ready and asked if there were aligators at WDW. He just chuckled and said "this IS Florida, maam... " Nuff said!

OMG!!!!! Why'd you have to show me that!?!?!?!? I'll NEVER get in a watermouse again!!!!!:earseek: :teeth: ;) :earseek:

We saw lots of alligators at Shades of Green a few years ago. None of them were as big as that one though.:earseek:

Thanks for the pictures. They are great.

We saw an alligator being removed from one of the golf courses a few years ago. They had a lasso type of a hook that they used.

Years and years ago - in the mid to late 1980's there was an alligator at Fort Wilderness behind the bike barn that jumped from the water to protect her eggs. A young boy was grazed but not hurt.

I wonder if alligators are the real reason there hasn't been swimming at Ft. Wilderness and why River Country has closed. Wasn't the water in River Country fed from the lake? Anybody know?

Last year we saw a big gator at BCV! Evidently he was removed after my stay but while my parents were still there because after a certain day, they just stopped seeing him! He was in the little river/stream/pond/creek thing by the BCV swimming pool and the parking lot. Now if you look there you can usually catch some big turtles! Very neat! The gators are scary, but I always assume that Disney has something to keep them off the beaches and stuff. (Gator repellent? Is there such a thing? I'll continue in my happy world thinking that there is...)

shortbun, Shades of Green had lots of Alligators, but the biggest one we saw was only about 3-4 feet long. Most of them are under that bridge in front of the hotel, although we did see a couple on the golf course. One of the CM's there told us they come as babies through the sewers and drainage systems.

Love the pics!! Would love to see a gator but so far haven't been lucky enough to get a glimpse!
