Alleviating callus pain?

I walk a lot and tend to battle with heel calluses - and of course, it worsens with a WDW trip. It seems like the calluses hurt, but then soaking my feet and removing the callus leaves the skin even more tender. :( I've heard others on the DIS mention the problem, but don't recall hearing of a way to alleviate the pain. Is there an ointment or other product that can soothe my poor skin?

HI,

I buy a package of moleskin before I leave for trip and cut into different sizes and put on my feet to prevent callouses and blisters. I have also used these when I have had really bad blisters. I would cover blister with band aid and then put moleskin over. It is a felt-like material with adhesive on the other side and is the color of skin so they sort of blend in. You can buy it near the foot products at drug stores.:thumbsup2

Instead of cutting, use a glass file and you wont get so close. I love those things. Then you just keep the area moisturized with a good lotion. You can get the files at Sally's and other beauty places.

I've used moleskin for blisters, but not calluses - I'll have to try it! I also use a file (can't imagine cutting -yikes!), but a glass one? Hmmm... may have to make a trip to Sally...

Thanks!
