Allergy Question

I have bizarre allergies. Nuts, soy, and pretty much fruit except citrus and melon. I can handle the food portion at the Disney restaurants but I am curious about drinks where they serve alcohol. At WDW last year I couldn’t get anything other than soda pop at Oga’s because everything is premade, is it like that at all the restaurants and places that serve alcohol in the California park? Locally when we go out I can usually pick something off the restaurants specially cocktail menu and they can switch out the pineapple juice or whatever for grapefruit or orange juice. Will I be able to do that at the Lamplight or anywhere else? Not a big deal i f I can’t have a pretty drink, but it would be nice.
‘Also. how and When do I contact the people there about my allergies? We are doing the dessert thing for WOC so I will need a special update there, if I recall correctly from what I saw posted I couldn’t eat anything on the plate except the cheese and crackers but if they were touching the berries that would make them unsafe as well.
Thanks for any help.

The allergy plate for WOC is a fruit plate. I told them I was allergic to grapes and simply asked if they could be left off the plate, and I got the fruit plate instead. So you may have a problem there.

Well, that is disappointing. I would.like the desserts. Did you tell them in advance? Or the night of?

In advance. I thought they’d either leaves the grapes off or maybe give me some strawberries or something. In hindsight, I should have just given the grapes to DH. Here’s what I got:

It was delicious but I really wanted the desserts!

Ew. Cancelling NOW. I'd be getting that since I'm gluten-free, and I 100% DO NOT EAT MELON.

When did you do this? When we did it last April the allergy plate was all fruit like you said, but later many people reported getting allergy plates with desserts.

I think the gluten-free plate does come with desserts, so I would check before canceling.

It was last year so might have changed since then.

I think it did change, which is a good thing. If it were me, I would be mighty ticked off to get a plate of fruit for my $90.

Especially given my allergy had nothing to do with the dessert items! But I really just wanted to warn OP about Disney’s knee-jerk, “you have an allergy, here’s an allergy plate!” reaction so they can guard against it, especially having fruit allergies.

Special.Diets@Disneyland.com. is their dietary department. You can email them to discuss your options. The last phone number I have for Disney Dine is 714 781-3463. If all else fails try their Disability Services at (407) 560-2547. This last is an Orlando number but supposedly handles DLR questions as well. I've only called it regarding WDW and haven't called it for years.

I'd say you could get 'custom' cocktails at Carthay Circle and maybe at Lamplight Lounge in DCA and at Napa Rose and Trader Sam's at the hotels. I suppose some places in DTD but they're doing so much remodeling that I don't know what's open there. You'd have to find a place with a 'real' full bar, and to my knowledge no place (other than C33) in Disneyland Park has a full bar so you'd be limited to DCA, the hotels, and DTD.

The lamplight bartenders are *very* accomodating, as well as creative. Especially if you sit at the bar, they would happily make you a fun and pretty drink with any number of limitations - I would wager they would particulary enjoy it, as well. Similarly at Carthayand possibly Hearthstone lounge at the GCH. I think you might encounter troubles at Trader Sams and as you said Oga’s.

Also while not alcoholic, I really enjoy the “no-jito” at pretty much any of the sit down restaurants that have a bar. So refreshing!
