We will be having dinner at MK. Any allergy free recommendations at MK? My sons allergies are milk, eggs, wheat and soy. Looking for more of a quick type of meal vs a sit down character meal/restaurant. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Allergy Free Mouse has a great resource tool here. When it's time to order be sure to tell the CM what your special dietary needs are and ask to speak with the manager. S/he will be able to point you in the right direction and offer what options they have that meet your needs (they also offer a book that lists the ingredients of every menu item but if someone is intolerant to everything on said menu they've been known to do a special request order).

My little guy is allergic to Eggs, Wheat, Soy, Peanuts and Tree Nuts. You can email specialdiets@disneyworld.com and they will email you a list of all the restaurants in the parks and resorts that carry allergy free foods. The only bad thing, is that you have to cross reference everything.

My little guy enjoyed the allergy chicken tenders and ate them several times during our stay.

The night we got there, we at the food court at All Star Movies. The chef was very friendly and we tried the Allergy chicken tenders, fries and grapes. My little guy loved them!

At the Magic Kingdom, we ate at Columbia Harbour House, where he got the allergy chicken tenders, grapes, apples and a cookie.

On our second day in the Magic Kingdom we went to Tomorrowland Terrace and they told me that they didn't have anything for him, but if we went next door to Cosmic Rays, they would have allergy chicken tenders and other options for him. When we got to Cosmic Rays, they did not have allergy chicken tenders. The manager there said the only place in the Magic Kingdom that had them was Pinocchio Village Haus and it was closed. (I knew this wasn't true, since we had had them day 1 at Columbia Harbour House). I ordered him a grilled chicken breast, but he didn't really care for it. He at some fruit and the rest of the snacks that we had with us. I understand that everywhere can't carry special items, but it would be nice if they had a list of the other restaurants that did carry the special items.

My little guy was only 15 months old on our trip, so your guy might have more choices.

This was the first time my DS had eaten food that I hadn't prepared for him since he had be diagnosed with his allergies. Other than the people in the Magic Kingdom that didn't know what they were talking about, everyone was great! Just mention the allergy needs as soon as you go to order so they can get a manager or chef.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions!

Our fam is gluten free, dairy free, and we try to minimize or avoid soy, but no specific allergies to soy.

The Special Diets folks are a huge help, so definitely contact them.

As for each park, we love certain places in each park because we know we can count on them for a good meal with no issues for our son (the one with the specific intolerances). No one wants to think their child might be sick while on vacay :(. I do prepare b'fast for my son at home and bring it to Disney with us in a cooler. Gluten free pancakes (frozen) that I can thaw while there and simply warm in the food court while my husband gets b'fast for everyone else, gluten free oatmeal to warm and serve him, etc. It's really not a hassle, and I freeze/prepare in b'fast sized portions so I just pull one out and take it with us to the food court every morning. I also make him almond milk and bring it, but we do get him rice milk at the resort food court from time to time.

In MK, we love Cosmic Rays. The chicken with veggie sides is really good, and enough to easily share. We also like The Plaza Inn for a good Rice Dream treat.

In AK, the fabulous special diets kiosk is WONDERFUL :worship:. We stop and load up on a few snacks and treats. That way, when we stop for a snack elsewhere, I can always reach into the backpack and pull out something for my son. He adores the Rocky Mountain caramel popcorn!

Also, Flame Tree BBQ is almost all gluten/dairy free, so we have no worries about eating lunch there and we do it every.single.trip.

In Epcot, lunch always happens at Sunshine Seasons. Rotisserie chicken, simple veggie sides, and a few allergy-friendly dessert options. Easy!

In DHS, we usually do ABC Commissary, mainly because it's indoors, ha! But they do gf/df chicken nuggets, which my son loves and doesn't get a lot of. Snacks are a bit tough in DHS, unless you like fresh fruit (which my son eats TONS of, so we let him have snacks that are a bit less healthful while in WDW). So this is why I load up on treats/snacks for him--I know I can produce something he'll enjoy even if we're in a place that has few or no allergy-free options.

Honestly, a worry-free trip to WDW is easily do-able, and we've had no problems at all doing Disney allergy-free for years. Best wishes to you!

Disney is the best place to travel to with food allergies :)

If you post in the "disABILITIES" forum you might be able to reach a wider pool of families with various allergies. While you've gotten great advice and recommendations already, I know I like to hear a good assortment of WHAT people are eating at the various quick serve and table seating restaurants throughout the world, so that I can plan ahead and arrange for my 3 celiacs to be able to enjoy a good mixed variety (which often includes things they can't order in a restaurant anywhere else, like fried chicken!) Especially when it comes to table service, where they don't provide an allergy menu (not that it isn't awesome that you get personal service from the chef!), it helps to know what type of foods they have prepared for others with your allergy requirements. If I didn't hear from other Dis-ers that they have gluten free fried chicken at 50's Prime Time, or gluten free corn bread with the skillet at Whispering Canyon, my family wouldn't missed out!
