I'm not sure if this is the right board, but it's certainly the most active one, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I have fairly severe allergies, primarily to molds. We live in Kentucky and I take 4-5 allergy medications daily. HOWEVER, when we go to WDW, I have hardly any symptoms and can cut back on my meds with no problem. I'd think that Florida, or any place that's warm and humid, would have MORE molds (esp. when I read reports of mold on hotel room walls!). I'm happy that my experience has been the reverse, but I was wondering if there're any other allergy sufferers out there who have had the same experience?
I'd LOVE to say we need to move to Orlando to get relief from my allergies!:sunny:
Thanks!

I'm sure it varies from person to person, but hubby2b and I find our allergies are less aggrivated in humid climates!

I,too, am alergic to molds. However, I'm more allergic to summer weeds, which are present all year in FL, so I tend to have more issues in FL than I do in IL. Especially, in Feb/March when almost everything in IL is dormant, FL is still blooming, so I notice it even more.

The summer weeds are just starting here, so when we leave in two weeks, I probably won't notice much of a difference between here and there.

Doesn't much matter to me, I'm at WDW!

I have major problems with mold too, but we just spent 2 weeks in Disney and I didn't have any problems down there, in fact just the opposite, I felt great. One day back in the great old Lehigh Valley, PA and I'm coughing and sneezing up a storm and suffering with a runny nose. The Valley is keeps all the allergens from moving away, so they just sort of build up. Can't wait till retirement so we can work at Disney and maybe get a couple of months relief instead of a couple of weeks.:)

Hey, Disneyholic!
I lived in Philadelphia, PA for 20 years and know just what you mean! Unfortunately, my allergies are triggered in KY as much as they were in PA...I'm going to count your comments as a vote towards an eventual move to Orlando!!!:earsgirl:

It's the same way here in good old Middle Tennessee--coughing, sneezing, etc. year-round till we get to Florida and then no problems! Guess where we're moving in 2 years!!
