My DD's elementary School is having a variety Show. In most cases I would not give this particular notice a second look, as I have no worthy talent to share with folks I don't know, BUT the notice says this year they have selected a DISNEY theme for the show. Now for all of us that are addicted to Disney this is something worth looking at, thinking about, and definitely attending. BUT now I really, really, really, want to be involved.

Did I mention I do not have a talent? So please put on your thinking caps and help me come up with an act.

The guidelines say one or two performers, time limit 2 min.
three or more performers, time limit 3 1/2 min.

Group acts are encouraged, as well as teacher and class participation.

Music and act selection must be age appropriate.

Must give your act a name is there are 2 or more performers.

Suggestions Please!

The first thing that came to my mind is a tweedle dee and tweedle dum act. They are silly, kinda easy costume and the kids would love silly stuff over serious. Just and idea.

Get some dolls and the music to It's A Small World and get your kids, their friends, and their teachers to spin the dolls around.
A guaranteed laugh riot. Or you could do a version of Splash Mountain and spray water all over the first three rows:teeth: I also thought of getting some teacups on a lazy susan and spinning those around to simulate the Mad Tea Party. Which ever one you chose, make everybody get up and wait in line to see it:teeth:

Disney has put out several karaoke cds. My daughter has them. They have the song as recorded on one track and then another track with just the music. You could sing along.

At my daughter's last school talent show a kid attached chemical glow sticks to two different pieces of rope. The lights were lowered in the hall and he swung them around his head and body in circles together and opposite each other. He did it in time to music. You wouldn't believe it but it was a real crowd pleaser and he got the most applause in the show. This requires little talent and you could do it to a Disney tune. Good luck whatever you choose.
