I just booked a 3-night stay at POR with a waterview. Could some one tell me what buildings are closes to the first bus stop. I am traveling with my dn's (7&4) , and have read some reports that the busing wasn't great. Just hoping to be able to get on first bus through the resort. Any suggestions would be appreciated.:)

I think the West Depot is the best place to catch the bus. When we were there in May '06, it was the first stop picked up at POR. We were in AB 25 (or 26, memory fades!) and it was just a short walk. It was never crowded (as the Main Depot is), so no lines and people pushing to get on. We always had a seat on the way to the parks - heck, the bus was empty when we got on! The Main Depot was the last stop, but even then there was sitting room. We got to the bus stop by 7:45 to 8:00 each morning. All this being said, I'm not sure if there are any waterview buildings close to the West Depot. Everyone seems to like AB14, as well as 15 & 18, but I don't know if they are waterview. We had no problems whatsoever with the buses. Good luck deciding and have a great trip! :)

Bldg 14 is the closest to the main bus stop. However, the main bus stop is not always the first stop for the bus. POR shares buses with POFQ at times and the bus stops there first before coming over to POR.

When we were there in July we stayed in the mansions and walked over to the south bus stop in front of the lobby and it was the 1st stop when we were there.

We also stayed in 25 in 2005 and loved it...I would recommend asking for a non-pool (waterview) view room tho unless you enjoy being woken by kids swimming etc:rotfl:

Oh, you're right! I was thinking waterview meant "riverview", but I forgot that it could also mean pool view. Then there are definitely poolview rooms near the West Depot. Looking at the map on allearsnet.com, AB25 (which I'm now sure is where we were) would have some pool view rooms, is just a short walk to the West Depot, and has no chance of a parking lot view.

Our room was close to the "quiet" pool, but not right across, so we didn't hear noise from it. I imagine it could be a factor, though!

Builing 14 is the place to be, you have a waterview and are so close to the food court. Not to mention the bus depot right behind the building.
