Didn't try to get into Le Cellier this time instead went to Yatchsmen Steakhouse and OMG it blows LE Cellier away. Will probably never go back to Le Cellier with the Yatchsmen such a short walk away

We've only been to LeCellier once, but while it was good, the hassle to get a reservation there just isn't worth it.

Last trip we ate at both and loved both. Yachtsman is a higher quality steakhouse but that is also reflected in the price. If you are on the dining plan Le Cellier is a better value for 1 point, in my opinion. Yachtsman takes two points and has a dress code which can be challenging for people who are in the park all day long.

I've never eaten at Le Cellier but I have eaten at Yachtman's Steakhouse. From a taste standpoint, i didn't like Yachtman's Steakhouse. I didn't like the mesquite flavoring the meat had. Because of that coupled with the cost, I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend it

We love both Yachtsman & Le Cellier. We typically lean towards Le Cellier for the convenience of visiting while we are in the park rather than getting all spiffied up and making a special trip to Yacht Club. If you are flexible with your dining times Le Cellier is really not that much of a hassle. I've always enjoyed all of my meals at Le Cellier. And like the above poster said, more bang for the buck on the dining plan!

I tried Le Cellier last June and sadly I and my family were unimpressed. My medium steak came out very well done. But the service was fantastic though.

I think Le Cellier is a bigger hit with people on the dining plan, looking to maximize the value - it only takes one TS as opposed to Yachtsman.

Yachtsman is a steak house, Le Cellier is like an Outback. Yatchsman still doesn't compete with some of the better steak houses off property, but it's good, no doubt.

As for people mentioning attire, if you're in park attire, you're probably fine to go to dinner at Yatchsman, there are just some minor restrictions (and even these are often bent) like cut-offs, tank tops for guys, etc.

No flames here...We enjoy both Le Cellier and Yachtsman. I agree that Yachtsman is better, however if you are on the dining plan, it is only one credit vs. two. Plus, it is more $$$...But, with that aside, yes it is better. I would love to have their cowboy steak right now, it was sooooo good!

I personally believe the "main" reason for all the Le'Cellier hype is because it is a 1TS restaurant. I don't dislike Le'Cellier, but it is not worth all the effort to get in, wait almost an hour past your ADR, and then eat a steak which is equivalent to an Outback(it's a good steak). Sorry, it's just not worth it for me.

I ate at LeCellier 10 years ago (pre hype) when I was a college programmer working at Disney. I remember it being amazing and cant wait to eat there on Memorial Day this year. I have never been to Yachtsman but I remember that place getting alll the steak hype at the time I was working there.

We've eaten at both quite a few times and honestly, I think price per quality, Le Cellier is better. Yes, Yachtsman has better quality meat and a nicer atmosphere, but not enough better to justify the difference in the costs. It's not that great of a steakhouse. For the price, I still think Le Cellier is a good value (which is why it gets the hype here). If I want to pay Yachtsman's prices, I'd rather eat at a Flemings or a Ruth Chris any day.

The Outback near my house is awful! I would never compare it to LeCellier! I have not tried Yachtsman, but I have been to LeCellier twice and enjoyed very much.

All things consider, the prices are very competetive against each other, and for the small diferrence (Approximately 10% - 20%) I think there is definately a marked difference in quality at Yatchsman. Consider your example of moving from a 7 to an 8, that is a 14% increase in quality, which is very similar in the price structure.

I know it isn't double using dollars, but it is double if you using the dining plan. Out of pocket, it can be justified.

Still, we like the soup better at Le Cellier. We usually love a lobster bisque, but didn't care for it at Yachtsman.

Our family thought Le Cellier was totally overrated and they didnt even serve Canada Dry Ginger Ale.....
Our steaks were good, but no better than we would have at Texas Road House or Outback.
