It looks like we will be spending Christmas at Disney!! While I'm very excited...I'm also a little nervous. We've never spent the holidays away from home so I'm not sure what to expect. We've been to Disney, many, many, many times but never at this time of year.

I need to know the best place to stay to put you in the "Holiday Spirit". We are a family of 5 and expect that it will be mobbed - but don't need to be at the parks all the time. My children are young teens.

So, help me with - Where to dine, Christmas Eve, Christmas day. Where to stay, what is the weather - we need all the information we can get!!

Best theming for Christmas is at the Wilderness lodge but best place for teens and also having great theming is the Boardwalk Inn and Villas if available. Depends on your budget as Boardwalk is very expensive when you factor in no food courts. If you can hook a villa then you would be able to at least cook breakfast in your room to save $$$ We had the best dinner at Shula"s in the Dolphin but bring your american express card its that $$$$$
Transportation to Epcot and MGM is very easy here but bus service everywhere else is okay at best. i always have a car and rarely use the buses but my kids do when they want to travel to other places within the parks. My kids are in their 20's .

Moderates I'm not as sure of for theming but the carribean beach is great for teens. my son loved the game room there and found the bus es very good from here.

WL has that cozy, Christmas-by-the Fireplace thing going for it.

But if you will ship a box of decorations to the resort a few days before your departure, any room will be Christmas-ready. We sent a table-top tree, ornaments, room decorations, window clings, lights (for the balcony and tree), and a few wrapped presents.

For traditional Christmas dinner fare: Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK is our choice.

Christmas Morning at the MK: no place we'd rather be. We head back to the resort by midmorning as the mobs fill the place up. First thing in the morning, though, is truly magical. And there are TONS of characters out for the day.

Weather is hit or miss. Bring layers, and Christmas clothes in both t-shirt weight and sweatshirt weight. You might lightweight one day, and heacy weight the next! First part of our last CHristmas trip was t-shirts, last part was sweaters and coats.
