It takes a long time to drive out of Key West to the Main Land.

I can see why they are doing this early, as a precaution. I95 or I75 can take a lot of traffic, especially if they reverse the other lane. But US1 is VERY limited, even IF they reverse the direction of the Southbound lane!

I went to Walmart to get some food and supplies and the crowd was worse than last week's. I pray and hope that this "monster" doesn't hit FL.

I feel so bad for you people in Florida! How do deal with this? Is this just a freaky year for storms? My aun't place in Port St Lucie
is pretty much destroyed. The water damage is extensive. She's so bummed....

Wow, Rita! You're not kidding. I couldn't believe the great timing of the move. I had been thinking about it for a couple years. Was actually planning on it for the summer, but it was in March when a buyer came along! Can't exactly ask them to hold off a couple months when they want to move in a couple weeks later.

I'm guessing the power is still out in areas. I sent e-mail to my former neighbor across the street. Haven't heard back from her yet, but she's not always prompt either. But there's a DISer who hasn't checked in since before Frances hit. I'm hoping it nothing more serious.

Walmart is worse? I guess that's a good thing so people get ready early. Hopefully, the stores will be better stocked. I'm hoping it goes west past FL. Actually, Walmart was better stocked today than last week, but they had no milk. I don't think their store lost power during the storm. Our Publix will be receiving perishables tomorrow, so I didn't even bother going there. Our refrigerator was nearly empty except for water, condiments and Gatorade, so I had to buy groceries.
