My daughter and son will be going to Crestwood as well as we live only two blocks away. She is at strath right now (grade two). When I attended Adam Scott you didn't even think of associating with Crestwood people, they were our bitter enemies. Mainly because they kicked our behinds in football every year. When I drop her off at school I will just have to duck down as I enter the parking lot. Maybe wear dark sunglasses, tint the windows, etc.......

As a Kenner grad...well, I can't say what we thought about Crestwood and Adam Scott in this forum ...good to have some city rivalries

I also went to SSFC...way way back in the early 80's ...that's where I met my DW ....not a bad deal,eh, a diploma and a future spouse

Ok I started the initial Crestwood flame because I was teasing my wife. All our Peterborough schools are great, no question. I have friends that went to TASS, Crestwood and Kenner as well as Adam Scott. It's just nice to be on this Disney board with the rest of you that are from Peterborough.

I teach kids from all of the schools, and I love to razz them too. Sounds like there is alot of interest in a summer DIS meet. When we figure out how many people we are looking at then we can plan it out. Nice to meet new people, and who knows, you might find out you already know some of them from other places in Peterborough. I know there were a few more riu girl is from stoney lake area i think, and there were a few others I'm sure I have spoken to on other threads. Have a great day!!!! Snow White- we must live close to eachother. My kids all walked to strath-it is only a few minutes away. Oldest DD went to Holy Cross(don't ask) and other DD is at crestwood and DS is still at Strath. I didn't grow up here so I know nothing of the school rivalries.

Summer meet sounds good. We should pick a date so we can let our dis buddies in TO know and maybe they can also make the drive.

And as for high schools.......LOL, I also didn't move here til high school was over, so no idea....

Well, as usual I'm late getting here, but I live in Peterborough too. I'm not native, so I have no High school clashes. DS will be graduating from Holy Cross this year (although he's going back next year) and DD will be starting there in September.
We've always had a great time at the Peterborough DIS meets and look forward to the next one!

Not from Peterborough but spent many summers camping in nearby Lindsay (28 years). Many shopping trips to Peterborough. Love the area. Mom sold the trailer but still go up to a friend's cottage now and then.

I was thinking july or august personally, my kids b'days are in may and june and of course having a garbage sale.oooppps(slip of the tongue) I mean quality garage sale sometime in june as well. What does everyone else think? What times are bad/good?

As of right now, I will be home all weekends except Labour Day. We will be planning two , one week vacations this summer but I am unable to book them until the end of May (for the one week July vacation) and the end of June (for the one week August vacation).

Please, don't plan anything around me. With my fathers illness, I have a hard time committing to anything right now. So please, just go by what others tell you about their availabiliy for July/August and I will just hope I will be able to make it.
