How close together did you have your kids & was it by choice or nature that it happend that way?

My two are 13 months & 3 weeks apart & it was not by choice that they are so close..............it was nature. We had planned to have them 18months to 2 yrs apart, but never this close........

What about you??;)

Six years, first one planned. We almost decided not to have any more, but she's 11 now. :)

Three years and 8 days apart........didn't plan to have either in December but apparently things were slow in March, 1991 and March, 1994!!!!!!!!

I have my DS (only) but my MIL wins this story almost everytime.

She has 4 children (2 sets of twins), born 11 months apart. The older set was born in January, and the younger set was born in December of the same year

And...on top of this, she already had 4 children under the age of 6!!!! YIKES

My children are 4 years and 8 months apart. Both planned pregnancies.
I wasn't sure I wanted a second child, but obviously changed my mind. DH wanted to have another child right away. I wanted to wait awhile.

Debster your Mil sure does take the cake in the baby stakes hey??

Imagine have 2 sets of twins only 11 months apart, but on top of that having 4 other children under 6!!!!!;)

Goodness me...........I think I would have been in the Looney Bin had that been me.:D

Mine are 5 years apart and they were both planned. :)

The first 2 were born 16 months apart then 2 yrs. then 16 months. I was finished having children by 24. I would have had more but my dh thought that that was enough. With my size having the 4 kids so close was really hard on my body.

OMG debster, your MIL needs a trophy or something. I thought my grandmother had it bad because she has 6 kids all born one right after the other. My mom and her brother are only 9 months apart. I could never imagine surviving having babies that close together but to have twins that close together. I mean, your chances of getting pregnant with twins twice in your life is slim but to have twins that close together must have been really hard. I wonder how she didn't go insane???

Anyway, my kids are 4 years and 5 months apart. They were both unplanned. My DD came first while I was a Jr. in HS. After I married DH I wanted to have another one pretty soon because I didn't want my kids to be more than 3 years apart, but then I started college and decided I should wait until I was done with school and had a job before we had another one. Then we got the surprise of our lives. I was on bc pills and didn't get my next prescription filled on time and ended up pregnant. Sure he may have come earlier than I planned, but I think that was just perfect timing...some higher power decided that the time was right for me to have another baby :)

3 years, 1month, and 5 days if you want to be exact. We had wanted them about 2-2 1/2 years apart but mother nature didnt cooperate.

1st 2 are 8yrs and 3 mo apart. 1st not planned, 2nd was planned. Between the 2nd and 3rd there is 6yrs 2 mo. 3rd was not planned either. I have a freshman in college and a preschooler. My oldest will be 33 when my youngest graduates from high school. There will be no more surprises!!

My kids are 3 1/2 years apart, both planned.

My mother had 9 kids in 11 years, and I am 11 months older than my twin brothers (Mom had two sets of identical twin boys). When my mother had her last child, these were the ages of the rest of her kids: 11, 11, 10, 9, 8, 8, 5, 3. She was a brave soul. :)

My DDs are 2.5yrs apart to the day. I had a miscarriage between them. All 3 pregnancies were by choice.

Between DS#1 and DS#2, they're 3 years and 5 months apart. Then between DS#2 and DD, it's 2 years and 7 months. All three were planned.

Nicholas was a surprise, but rather than waiting until our "planned" time to start a family we went ahead so that they would be close together.

Nicholas and Katelyn are 2 years, 5 months apart, Katelyn and Jennifer have 23 months between them, and Jenn and Zachary are 21 months apart. We would say "maybe it's time to start thinking about having another baby" and within a month I would start puking my guts out. Usually I was already a good month along....so we feel like they were all right where they were meant to be, even if it was a little closer than WE had planned.

My first two DD's are 6 and 3 1/2 and were planned..however, the baby DS was not in our plans but arrived on DD #2 second birthday!! Sometimes dreams that you never have do come true!!

Just DS so far and we would have preferred to have a second child about 3 years apart from DS, but obviously, other circumstances has pushed that timeframe back a little while for now.

Between DS #1 and DS #2 - 5 yrs and 2 months
Between DS #2 and DD - 7 yrs and 6 months

We had planned on having them 2 yrs apart but it didn't work out that way.
I will have one starting college and one starting kindergarten the same year:rolleyes: and it will be a long time before I have an empty nest.

My sister is only two years older than me. She had her two boys 13 months apart and one is married and in medical school and the other is a senior in college.

4 years between the first two (miscarriage in between) and 9 years between the 2nd and 3rd. It's great to have so many "little mommies" to help with our now 4.5 month old!
