We have stayed at POP but never All Stars, so am familiar with the layout, etc. Anyway, going for 4 nights in Nov. for Wine & Dine 10K and am booked through Disney at ASMovies (just me and 13 year old daughter). I see there is a code at cheaptickets for 18% off but they are sold out of movies there, however, I can get ASsports for $88 less than Movies. The theme at Movies appeals to me, but honestly we won't be spending a lot of time at the resort. So...would you switch to save $88? I know the amenities will be exactly the same, so it seems a no-brainer, I just don't want DD to be disappointed.

If it were more days, I would say spend the money for the resort you find more appealing. But if most of your time is spent at the parks, that $88 can get you and your DD a cute souvenir (or two or three!) to remember the trip. My DD14 would be initially disappointed over Sports at first for sure :rolleyes2, but have a feeling she would get over it pretty quickly since it is still Disney and you will have some extra cash for a cute memento. Hope you have fun either way!

I would switch. but I like sports as well as movies.

How About showing your daughter pics online and ask her about it? Maybe you could offer her 1/2 the savings for spending money?

I would switch. It's not like you are changing from a moderate to a value for $88. It will be pretty much the same exact experience. I agree with PP though maybe talk to your DD about it if she is already expecting movies. At least keep her in the know about it.

Thanks! I'm sure she'll be all for it if I tell her I'll put half on a gift card for her, great idea! The only real down time we'll have is the day before the run because I'll want to relax and get to bed early, but a value pool is a value pool...I'm sure it will be just fine.

We've stayed at all of the All Stars and I actually like the theme of the pool at Sports better than the others (surf boards so kind of beachy). We also like Sports because if sharing buses you're the first ones on and first ones to be dropped off. Otherwise not much of a difference. I would switch to save the $.

Save the $88. There is really no difference in the resorts. Sports is slightly better if the all stars are sharing busses.

I'm not sure how Movies compares to Sports but I wasn't thrilled with Sports when we stayed there in May. We normally stay at Pop and found the room quality and cleanliness not up to par and we did not have a good experience with transportation. Staff was awesome though. I'd be hesitant to recommend Sports so for that reason I'd stick with movies.

There's a weird Mighty Ducks section in AS Movies anyway. I guess it was a preferred room at Movies that gave us Toy Story which was great, but music and movies lately have put us in dumb sections. So ya, Value resort is all about saving and putting that money to other uses!

Been to all of the values and I would switch to Sports to save the money. Some people don't like the theme as much but it's smaller and has less walking so that's a big plus for us.
