My friend's husband is planning a surpise trip for his wife and wanted to include 2 additional families to cut the costs. He found a house thru All Star Vacation homes for the week of 5/24/03 thru
5/31/02 for $1090 not including taxes for the week. The website makes the place look nice but I don't know. Has anyone stayed at this property and how far away from the disney attractions? We will be renting a car. He says the house has 4 bedrooms with a private pool. I just want to know if the property is nice and the price is fair. The total people for the trip would be 6 adults, 3 children.

Hi...All Star is one of the many many reputable management companies that rents out homes for owners. They probably have over 100 homes available to them for lease...I am sure you will be happy with the home....It's location can be any where along a the highway 192 or hwy 27 corrridors. If you can ask them which development you are in we could tell you about location and distance to Disney.....most every home will be a reasonable distance, never more than 20 to 25 minutes and can be as close as 5 minutes in locations like Emerald Island, Rolling Hills, Formosa Gardens.....I think you will really like staying in a home...If you would like to some comparasons go to vrbo.com, to florida, to central florida, and check out the many homes there. Other sites like fhvr.net and familiesfirst.com can show you prices and comparasons. My only question for the 9 of you is bedrooms and baths...If you have 3 baths that would be OK, but still pretty tight with 6 adults and 3 kids.....For a few dollars more you might want to check out a larger home that would give the adults some more privacy...there a lots of 5, 6, and 7 bedroom homes that would give you a lot more space and I know of a few that would have have 3 master suites so all adults would have thier own master bath for about 500 dollars or so per family per week, and they are spectacular homes very close to Disney....good luck...The four bedroom should do you well if you don't mind a lot of sharing....have fun shopping around...there are literally hundreds and hundreds of homes for rent around Disney and this is a good time to look for a bargain....best wishes...Ted

Wow! I find this price rather high...

I checked with All Stars also, and found them to have nice properties but to be quite expensive to be offering about the same types of houses as most of the other management places.

I've used www.floridaleisure.com, www.vrbo.com and www.closesttodisney.com and was VERY satisfied with the homes and never paid more than $100 a night for any of them, even in high season.

Email me if you want more info.

Which particular property on All Stars site is it? If I know which one, I can most probably tell you which sub-division it's on/how far from WDW and also give you some links to similar properties in the same community so you can compare price.
