ContempoSMT and I are leaving for WDW in 5 days! Oh yea!!! We will be staying in All Star Sports. I was just wondering what everyone thought about the All Star Sports. Good, Bad? What about the transportation? The facilities?? Anything! Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

It's been quite a while, but thoroughly enjoyed the All Star Sports when staying there with a large family group. We loved everything about it. The cleanliness, the convenience of the food court, the reliability of the transport, and the cost effectiveness of the rooms that allowed more people in the family to visit than if we had selected a more expensive resort.

Have a wonderful time!

We have stayed at the AS Sports 3 times in the last month, and we will be there again next weekend. It is great. Probably the best laid out resort on disney property.

Even if you are in the furthest building back, you are no more than a couple minute walk to everything. (pool, bus stop, main building, food court, bar, laundry room).

The food court food is very good, I am hooked on the made to order pasta. The breakfast is very good as well, our favorites are the platter and biscuits/gravy. The lunch and dinner menus have some of the same things and some different offerings.

The pool is very nice, actually there are two..the main pool, and then another pool by the baseball building. The courtyards are adorable...life size characters for kids to climb on...great pictures opps.

The best part is Mike the bartender...he is excellent! And the bar stays open until midnight...so you can have a drink when you come back from the parks.

There is plenty of parking...so you don't have to park to far away from your building. (Think mall parking lot and parking near your favorite store).

The only thing I would say is take your own soap/shampoo. The stuff in the wall dispenser is not very appealing. Other than that...it is great!

I'll be curious to read your report after your vacation. Since the last places you've stayed have been YC, CR, WL, etc., you may be in for a little shock. I was when we stayed there.

That being said, if you go the room for $59 per night as is the special now, it is definitely worth the money. If you're not planning on hanging out at the hotel, it's worth the money. There are little amenities. As said previously the soap and shampoo are in a dispenser on the wall. There is only one sink on the vanity.

The theming outside is cute and there was the largest amount of children I have ever seen at a resort. I'm not saying that is a problem, and I expected it.

Have a wonderful trip. Don't set your expectations at the level of the Deluxes you've stayed at and you won't be disappointed.
