Yes, there's a safe. It's pretty shallow (not huge), but large enough to hold plane tickets, a wallet, some jewelry, ID, etc. Unless this has changed in the past year, it locks with a key (not by swiping a card through or punching in a code as some room safes) which is on a pretty big (bright orange plastic, I think) key ring.
By no means comprehensive, but here's a general idea (based on memory) of the food court offerings. There are also complete listings in the menus section of the WDWIG run by Deb Wills. It's a great food court!
One of my favorite features of the food court is the small "general store" area where you can select juices, milk, water, bottled/canned drinks, pre-packed salads and sandwiches, little fruit or veggie platters, packaged snacks, breakfast pastries, yogurt, cereal, fruit, candy, microwave popcorn, etc. I got or supplemented my meals there all the time. I think that selection is available all day/late night.
Then--like a mall food court--there are several stations with different food options (these are shown on WDWIG). At breakfast choices include hot breakfast platters with eggs, bacon, etc., a la carte hot foods, pancakes, a waffle station.
Dinner and lunch are the same (I think). In addition to the cold foods and sandwiches in the "store" stations include burgers, pizza, subs, Italian, etc. I think most stations have some sort of kids' meal option (breakfast too). And I'm pretty sure (again, in addition to packaged ice cream in the store) there's also an ice cream station for sundaes, etc.
Then there's a beverage island where you can fill the unlimited mugs. Choices include Coke soda products, Powerade (?), lemonade, coffee (but no real milk--you have to buy this), tea/hot water, and hot chocolate. In the beverage area there are also microwaves and toasters.
