Hello.
My family of 7 (kids 10,7,6,3,1) are looking at doing a trip to disneyworld (possibly still deciding between there and LAND)
If we go to world we would want to stay at either

All star music resort in a family suite..
OR
All star sports in 2 standard rooms

This is what budget allows..

Which would you chose and why?

Any help would be great !!

I don't really see a big difference in any of the All Star resorts... I would go with what is most comfortable and least expensive. If you can all sleep comfortable in a suite, then that is probably your best bet.

I would go with the family suite. That way you know you will be all together in one space. If you go with 2 rooms you can request that they be connecting, but you won't know for sure if you get them until you get there. Plus with the family suite you get a kitchenette and can do easy meals in the room to save a bit of money.

we have stayed at the AoA before (in 2013) and my husband i think would like to return there.

Is there much difference between the all star resorts and the AoA ?

The set up is different. At AoA the kitchenette is part of the main area, right next to one of the sleeping spaces. At the All Star Suites the kitchenette is off in a bit of an alcove. Also, the All Star Suites are quite a bit cheaper than the ones at AoA. Roughly $90 a night cheaper.

In my opinion a huge yes. AoA is more like Value Super Plused so AllStars will be a step down, especially pools and dining. ASMu suites were built out of two rooms so more awkward layout, smaller than AoA, extra bedding ALL foldouts and most reports seem to be they need renovating.

Since you have stayed at AoA I think you might be disappointed.

We had the same debate once, the difference for us came down to the beds (we liked the two twins, as we had two that would be tough to sleep with in a double), being altogether and the kitchenette. That made the suite worth it for us (it was slightly more expensive than 2 rooms). Though the kiddos did like the very classic Disney theme stuff (giant Mickey, Toy Stoary, etc.) at All Star Movies when we've stayed there

2 All-Star standard rooms: 4 double beds, 2 bathrooms, maybe not together, bit cheaper.

All-Star Music Family suite: 1 queen, 1 double sleeper sofa, 1 twin sleeper chair, 1 twin sleeper ottoman, 2 bathrooms, all together, kitchenette.

But I'm sure you'll have a great vacation whatever you choose.

I would go with the family suite so the adults don't have to split up. At those ages, it's so much easier if both grown ups are within reach!

that is what i am thinking. But considering the AoA resort now as well .
