Room numbers for the All-Star Resorts consist of four digits or numbers. The very first number represents the building number one thru ten of the All-Star Resort.

So take a look at the DIS maps of the resorts by clicking on the following URL's. This first one is a combination map with building numbers of the All-Star Sports Resort, and the All-Star Music Resort:

www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/allstarmap.jpg

And the following is a map with building numbers of the All-Star Movies Resort:

www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/allstarmovie.JPG

So...you found a building that you want to stay at. This will be the first number of your room number. Except for building number ten "10". Here you will choose zero "0"...yes...zero "0" and not 10.

Now what floor do you want to stay on? Maybe you like the first floor because you can just walk straght out of your room. Or maybe you don't want to hear those happy little feet running around on the floor above you, so you want to stay on the third floor.

There are three floors in each building. And there are three resorts. So they use numbers one thru nine as the second number from the left of your room number.

At the All-Star Sports Resort, the number "1" is ground floor, the number "2" is second floor, and the number "3" is the third floor. Well...that makes sense.

At the next resort called All-Star Music Resort, the number "4" is the ground floor, the number "5" is the second floor, and the number "6" is the third floor.

At the next resort called All-Star Movies Resort, the number "7" is the ground floor, The number "8" is the second floor, and the "9" is the third floor.

O.K., so now you have the first two numbers of your room number. Because you know the building number and the number corresponding to the floor that you want to stay on at the specific resort that you want to stay at.

So what about the last two numbers of your room number?

Did you notice on the maps how all the buildings have the exact same shape? It sort of looks like a "T"-shape. There are actually three buildings that meet together at the center where the two elevators, ice machine and stairs are located. Well, this is the front and main entrance to each building.

Did you know that there are 64 rooms on each floor. Rooms "01" thru "64". And these will be the last two numbers of your four digit room number.

If you notice...that all the buildings come in pairs. At the All-Star Sports Resorts, The "Touchdown" buildings are #7 and #10. I'll use them as an example. Notice how they face each other? Pretend like your are standing in front of The #7 "Touchdown" building. You are also standing at the middle, facing the front. Do you see how the three buildings come together. You see the stairs and the two elevators.

Now, look to the right and one of the first corner rooms on the first floor is #7101 (Notice "7"= building #7, "1"= first floor, and "01"= is the first room of 64 rooms).

Now, look to the left and the other first corner room on the first floor is #7164 (Notice "7"= building #7, "1"= first floor, and "64"= is the last room of 64 rooms).

So the rooms are numbered counter-clockwise. The two buildings on the front each contain ten (10) rooms on the front and back, but the center building contains twelve (12) rooms on each side.

If you were still standing in front, all the front rooms on the first floor starting on your left would be #7155 thru #7164 and #7101 thru #7110.

Second floor would be #7255-#7264 and #7201-&210.

Third floor would be #7355-#7364 and #7301-#7310.

Does that make sense?

So you could see all the rooms starting with rooms #01 to #10. Go around the corner for rooms #11 to #20. Then you see rooms #21 to #32 and rooms #33 to 44. Then rooms #45 to #54. And finally rooms #55 to #64.

Room numbers are "01" thru "64" (last 2 digits on the right).

Floor numbers are "1" thru "9" (third digit from the right).

Building numbers are "1" thru 1"0" (fourth number from the right or first number from the left).

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope that this helps CDooBee? I'm going to take a break and try to update this later. Have a great trip!!

Sincerely, RaySharpton

Thanks, Ray!

WOW! You really went to a lot of trouble for this, and I THANK YOU!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I even understand it!! heehee :D

Now, I just need to study the maps and try and figure out what room numbers I might like to request. (Knowing of course that there is no guarantee.)

I think I would like to stay in one of the Surf's Up buildings. Katelyn and I stayed at All Star Movies during DIS-Con, but we walked all over Sports and Music taking pictures. I love the theming at Surf's Up!

Thanks again, Ray! What a great guy you are!!

You're welcome PlutoPal and CDoobee.

You're right about no guaurantee of room or even building, but I think that it would be great information to know when you check-in to the resort and the castmember tells you your room number.

If you know where the building is and it a room number that ends with a "32" or a "33" then you know that you are at the very back and furtherest room from the front of the building and maybe you could gently request another room if it was available.

You never know.

CDoobee, I like the Surf's Up building #6 and the third floor, like room #6363 or #6362 that look right over the pool and is around the corner from the ice machine and elevator.

The corner room #6364 is a kingsize bed, walk-in shower room for special needs.

Does any one else have room numbers that they like at any of the All-Star Resorts, then please post them here.

We stayed in room #7555 at the All-Star Music. Second floor, end room, Broadway Hotel #7. Two Double Beds. It had a view of the Broadway courtyard.
