All Star Resort pools?

I had read earlier that some of the pools at the All Star Sports resort were being fixed? Does anyone know when this is happening?

The Surfboard Pool and Kiddie Pool is closed for refurbishment from 8/27 - 9/20. The Grand Slam pool will remain open and guests can also use the pool at the two other All Star Resorts.

I hope the 9/20 date is correct. We are arriving on the 22nd and received a "for your future enjoyment' letter from WDW stating that the pool would be closed during our stay. (Aug 27 until early Oct.). Maybe if this date is true it will be open tomorrow. I guess I will know soon!!

Thank you for the dates! We are going early Dec. and if it's nice in the evenings we might take our little fish out for a swim!

I got the same letter and I believe it stated it will reopen Oct 5th.

I have a question about this. How much construction is being done at Sports? I am a travel agent and have 4 families arriving 9/30. I was not aware of any construction going on here or to the pools. Now my clients are considering changing their res. If it affects the one pool only they'll be ok but if there's so much constuction being done where it's going to be noisy, they're not going to be happy campers. Can anyone please tell me what is going on there and why wasn't I informed of this construction??
