Can anyone give me their reviews on all star music. I have booked to go there on the 17th September 2006 for 15 days.

I won't post a lengthy review, but I will tell you we've stayed there the last four years and have been very pleased with the resort. The room are not that big, but we don't need a big room.

The food court works well, the pools are good sizes and the staff is very accommodating. We are heading back to AS Music in 11 days and are looking forward to it.

One negative..... The layout of AS Music can mean a long hike to the food court / bus stops if you are in the back of the resort. (See map)

We always get a 'preferred view' room. Worth the extra few bucks a night to be guaranteed a room close to the pool, food court and bus stops.

I'll be glad to answer any specific questions you may have.

Hope you enjoy!

I stayed there with my parents for my 35th birthday. It was just me and my parents (left DH and kids home!). We were in the farthest building from the food court/bus stop. It was a bit of a walk but not too bad for me (my dad wasn't too thrilled though!!!). We really enjoyed our stay. On the way to our room from the bus stop there was a really nice fountain. Make sure to check out the broadway buildings. It is set up like a city street and has a taxi there! We thought it was pretty cool.

We enjoyed our stay there. Have a great trip!

I was very please with my solo stay there in January of 2005, I was in the Rock Inn, so not too far from every thing. The rooms was surprisingly quiet, and mine overlooked a natural area, where I saw several rabbits.

I thought the food court food was good, especially for the price.

Bus transportation was good, except first thing in the morning. There always seemed to be a long wait then.

Stayed there on my last trip to WDW. No complaints, as long as you already realize that this is a value resort. Don't expect anything fancy. I would indeed stay there again - for the price you can't beat it and you get to stay in the WDW Resort. In fact - we're leaving on Dec. 16th for a 5 night stay at the AS Sports Resort. Can't wait :cheer2:

Thanks I chose this because up to today it wasn't adding a single room suppliment to all star music or sports. I have my invoice printed out without this so if it works I will stay there otherwise if they add a single room suppliment I will change to Pop century.

We stayed at ASMu for the first time in October. Despite being full over the weekend, the place remained remarkably quiet. Lines for WDW buses were relatively short. We never had to wait for a 2nd bus to arrive. While we did not eat in the food hall, we noticed that it stayed busy at all hours. Even so, there were always tables available. My only complaint with ASMu was with our housekeeper. Near the beginning of our trip, our little ones spilled a container of chocolate milk on the bedspread. We cleaned up the best we could and called housekeeping (full of appologies) immediately. When we left for the parks we left a large-ish tip and a note thanking our housekeeper for her extra work.) When we returned, the bed was re-made with the dirty linens. Yuck! This was the trend for our stay. We didn't complain, but some other guests might have. We overheard a manager chewing her out one day. (Note: The manager was trying to do this quietly but the housekeeper was rather loud and disrespectful.) Sadly, her work did not improve. When talking to other ASMu guests staying in other areas of the resort, they ALL reported excellent service. Thus, we will definitely try ASMu again.

We have stayed in the Broadway section and that was a pretty neat location, but if I were to go again I would pay for the preferred rooms closest to the main food court. It was a hike and we were't the furthest out. The pools are nice and the resort did not seem busy, though I know it was a busy weekend. You are also within a walk to ASports and AsMovies. Enjoy your trip!

We stayed at ASMu for 8 nights in October and were VERY impressed! I was expecting a tiny little room, but it was about the same as any regular chain hotel we've stayed in. The grounds, however, were awesome, and much more lush than regular chain motels. The pools were beautiful and the staff was so nice.

I could not believe what a great value the rooms were for only $77 per night! We stayed in the Jazz Inn and this location was perfect. Close to the food court and main pool and also really close to the Piano pool. We also had good experiences at the food court, although the line for burgers and other grilled items was always a long wait. They really need to revamp the grilled foods line and offer them at more than one station because they are the most popular foods.

We had connecting rooms, so we had two TVs, two bathrooms and lots of space for less than the price of one deluxe room and not much more than the price of one moderate. We loved the value resort idea so much that we cancelled our WL reservations for December and are staying in two rooms at Pop. I only hope we'll like it as much as ASMu!

Have a great trip!

All Star Music is my favorite resort. It tends to be quieter because more couples stay there. I perfer the clypso building.

Here is a site with a map of All Star Sports and All Star Music.
http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/allstarmap.htm
Scroll down. All Star Music is at the bottom of the page.
The Calypso buildings at All Star Music are #1 and #10 are nearest to the food court and bus stop.
They are the preferred buildings and cost about $12 extra per night.
The Calypso pool at ASMU has Donald Duck.

Bus rides are shorter from the ALL Stars than POP according to PassPorter.com

All Star Buses------------Pop buses
MK 20 min---------------MK 25 min
Epcot 10 min------------Epcot 20 min
MGM 10 min--------------MGM 15 min
AK 10 min----------------AK 15 min
DTD 15 min---------------DTD 20 min

The All Star resorts have 1960 rooms each.
Pop has 2,880rooms.
That means more people in the pools, food court and in line waiting for the bus.
When phase 2 of POP is built it will be 2 bus stops at POP and the 2 POPs will have the same # of rooms as the 3 All Stars.

BUS SHARING
It is usually just our stop and maybe one more on the way to the parks. On the way back sometimes its all 3 but often Sports and Music share and Movies has it's qwn bus back.

I guess some people who stay at POP see all 3 All Star names on the return sign of our bus stop when they head to the POP bus stop and think All Stars also has 3 stops on the way to the park.
(Even when we stop at another AS resort to load up it has not taken more than 5 minutes and we are on our way!)

Also All Star is closer to the main road to get to parks and thats why bus rides are shorter from there than from POP.

I the All Star Resorts --they can't be beat. I have visited WDW more than a dozen times with the 1st time in Oct. 1971. It was brand new. I've stayed at FW, Disney Inn, a few the of Hotels on hotel Blvd., CBR and the towers at the Contemporary. I got to see the MK from my balcony at the Contemporary and I'm happy I got to experience it once. I just prefer the All Star Resorts.
The theaming is pure Disney.
My last 5 visits have been at The All Stars and this fall when we took dd,dsil, and our grandson age 3 we stayed for 8 nights at the All Stars Music. I thought about AKL and even though we can well afford AKL I just wanted Alex to experience the Disney Magic :wizard: at the All Stars on his first visit.
Where else can one find Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse at the pool?

Have fun at Disney. I know we did

Thanks I got the invoice from Virgin without single room suppliment so it looks like it worked!!!!!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cheer2: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Wespent 13 nights there last July-August. I loved it so much I was heartbroken to leave. It really was kinda like being at home, I got to know several CM's and they were all extremely friendly.

My kids also loved it there, it was their 3rd time at an Allstar resort and they kinda felt familiar too. It was nice to let them come and go around the resort without having to worry.

We stayed in the Jazz building, the piano pool was right across from us.

You will love it there. We never had a problem with transportation either.

Headed to Pop in January, hope I don't regret it.
