Ok...so I'm planning on a trip this September and this time I am really on a budget as this trip is for our son who should be on leave from the Marines and his girlfriend, not really in our financial plans...so we have it narrowed down to: 3rd choice-off site, 2 bedroom condo...2nd choice- AoA suite or 3rd chpice AS Music family suite.
Well need 2 full bathrooms and a small frdige, micro and coffee pot.
I really love AoA suites but they are few hundred $ more than AS suites. Off sites are really roomy as SUPER cheap (500-600) for a week, but they ARE offsite and I would need to rent a car and we would all basically have to arrive and leave parks all together every day.
Does anyone know how comfortable the sofa bed is at the AS suites? That would pretty much be the deciding factor..
Any advice, input or thoughts woul
d be welcome..
THANKS...

I have not stayed in an All Star Music family suite - I am actually trying to change my AOA family suite to one of these for part of trip because it will save me almost $200 over 3 nights - so, I feel you on the big difference in price.

I'm a little unsure of how many people are in your party? That may help with others being able to give advice. Are you looking to sleep 2 on the sofa bed? Or just 1, we're looking at 1 on the sofa bed and 1 on the twin-chair bed. So, we have more wiggle room.

If your son is in the military - what about Shades of Green or some of the other military rates in other on-property resorts? I think this may open up a world of possibilities and some great opportunities to experience some of the better resorts at lower prices.

I've slept on them, I think it was fine. The only issue is a GIANT hinge on the side that you have to avoid when you get out of bed, or you could pinch your legs.

We like the ASMu Family Suites, we've stayed there 3 times and were VERY comfortable. It's probably off our list now though, because prices have gotten to wacky that a cabin at Fort Wilderness is around the same price (depending on discounts) and is so much better. Totally quiet, private and we love the Fort. But you would only have 1 bathroom so if that's a requirement, you need to stick with the suite.

There is SO MUCH more room in a ASMu Suite in the living room, but you do have to all sleep in one room vs. having 2 separate sleeping areas in the AoA suites. But the kitchen area and closet space to me is better than the separate areas.

We also love the size of ASMu and the proximity to the other All Stars for food court, pool bars and pools. The walk from the bus is never too far.

Are you the one planning to sleep on the sofabed? If so, you could use the chair bed instead, that's actually easier and probably more comfortable overall. I think the sofabed gets more use than the chair.

Not sure how many total are in your party, but if your son's in the Marines, I'm assuming he and his girlfriend are adults. Why not just book two standard rooms at Music (or a different all stars)? It's actually cheaper than the family suite and you'd have four "real" beds!

Thanks y'all . Shades of green looks great but we are kind of really wanting a seperate sleeping area for me and DH and 2 seperate bathrooms and a kitchen/ kitchenette. There's gonna be 4 adults for sure so my son and his gf will be in one bed and DH and myself in the other.
If the beds are comfy or DS and his gf then we'll probably stay here or maybe a cabin, but the cabins have only 1 bathroom

Shades of Green does have suites, this size and larger. Separate bedroom, two bathrooms, kitchen, etc.

And you could save more with military tickets and such. Home page of their site shows some specials, not sure if they cover your dates on not.
