All star Movies with virgin holidays?

Hi, I have booked All star Movies with Virgin Holidays and there is no option of booking a pefered room, does this mean that we can be located at any block? we will have a good chance of the Dalmation block which my dd has her heart set on.

I'd give them a call as under the prices in the brochure for 2007 it has got preferred rooms at £13 per night

Sorry I know nothing about the layout of ASMo and which rooms/blocks are preferred so don't know if you can have Dalmations without preferred - hopefully someone else can help you there.

I think most of the buildings are preferred , including the Dalmations. I will have to phone virgin I think as the only reason we picked All Star Movies was for the Dalmatians building and my dd will be very disappointed with we don't get to stay in this block.

Remember though that even if you pay for preferred and request Dalmations that the block is still only a request and you could be placed in any other preferred block. Might be best not to let DD get too attached to the idea explain to her now that you might be near but not in Dalmations and that she can still see them - might save disappointment when you get there.

I am sure which ever block you are in you will still have a great trip

yes, I have showed her pictures and have explaned that it is all one hotel and if we are in another building we can still walk over and take pictures of the Dalamations, she will be over a year older when we go so hopefully will understand better than. (she is 4 now and will have just turned 6 when we go)

We stayed at ASMovies at Easter and travelled with Virgin. We simply put in a special request for Toy Story or Dalmation blocks which were are preferred ones and on arrival were allocated Toy Story block - much to DD's delight. Disney do state it is simply a request and cannot be guaranteed but I think they try to do their best. The hotel has great theming and lots of photo opportunities. We spent a morning walking around the resort just taking photos.

We booked online with Virgin last time we stayed at ASM. After I booked, I phoned them up, requested the Dalmation block (due to my dalmation mad DD) and that's what we were allocated on arrival. Whether or not it was pure luck I don't know but i think Virgin do their best. From what I understand, a prefered room is one that is allocated close to the main Facilities or pool view etc. I don't think these are worth it at ASM as all the blocks are fairly close to the reception, food court and pools.
