All Star Movies-which is the best section

Can you help we are staying in the all star movies hotel whisc is the best section to stay in and can you pre book your room in this section.We have booked with virgin. thanks for any help

the best place to stay is in the dalmations as it is near to the main building and is near mighty ducks and shares thier duck pond pool aswell as the fantasia pool.

Have you paid for a preferred room? If so you will be in the Fantasia section. In theory you won't be allocated a room here if you've not paid the extra (although people do very very occasionally get upgreded it is rare at ASMo)

We stayed in the Dalmations sections which was really handy for the main pool and the quiet pool (both only one minutes' walk) and also the foodcourt / shop / reception area.

The Toy Story area is also highly thought of by many people, well located again.

Personally I would go for whatever section you think would most appeal to you and your family - for example if you have a Toy Story fan, request there.

I have not found Virgin very good at passing on requests personally; I think in theory you can contact ASMo direct but not until a week (approx) or so before your visit as Virgin won't have passed on your details until then.

We didn't bother requesting anywhere as we knew wherever we ended up we would be happy and I thought if I requested somewhere and didn't get it (which can easily happen) we might be disappointed. All the areas have their plus points, I'm sure you will enjoy it very much wherever you end up!

We stayed in the mighty ducks and was really good for a couple of reasons.

1. The quiet pool is right outside your door and is never as buisy as the fantasia pool.

2. When you are leaving any of the parks you have the option to catch either the all star movies bus or the all star music bus as the distance to walk is the same.

When we went the first time we really wanted to stay in the toy story area but when we were put in the mighty ducks we were a little dissapointed but as the holiday progressed we loved it so much that we requested the mighty ducks area when we returned 3 years later.

Hi there,

We stayed for a fortnight in 2000 in the Toy Story section about 20 ft from the big Woody which faces the Big Buzz. The Toy Story location was great near to the pool, about three minute stroll and about the same from food court. I walked up to the Dalamtion and Mighty Ducks sections and agreed with a good friend of ours who found the MD section to be very quiet.

Each time Ive stayed at asmo Ive asked Virgin to request a certain section and they always have and my request has always been honoured. The Toy Story bit is good as its close to the centre but quite quiet.

We stayed in the toy story building, We were at the back of the woody building which meant it was very quiet but also only a few minutes walk from the foodcourt, Pool and Bus stop. The Fanstasia buildings are right next to the foodcourt an bus stops, but these are preferred buildings and would have to pay and extr supplement to stay here. ( you could try to request it though, you may be lucky).
