We stayed at ASMo Dec 18 - Dec 23 and it was AMAZING.
Checked in atound 3 p.m. Check-in line was maybe a 5 minute wait. The kids watched a Disney movie in the cinema part of the check-in area while I registered. ALL of our room requests were met. I was thrilled. We were assigned a room in the buzz lightyear building. It was so great. Neighbours were very quiet. I assumed the rooms beside/below us must have been empty but DH did see neighbours occasionally.
CM's were amazing. DH told them that we were celebrating my birthday on our MK park day and when we got back to out room there were balloons and a card from mickey mouse! Amazing. Each encounter with a CM was a very pleasant one. They were so helpful.
The kids were astonished by the life size statues everywhere. Andy's room was a real blast.
The room is on the smallish size. The room was spotless and we loved it. Again, the room isn't large but it was fine for us (2 adults, 2 young kids).
The pools are amazing. The kids loved them. The main pool was very large and never crowded.
The gift shop is much bigger then I ever thought and offers a ton of choices. For someone like me (I didn't buy myself one souvenir the whole trip) it was nice to walk around and see everything.
The food court was very clean and offered a ton of selections. If you are familiar with the menus beforehand you can eat well within any food budget. The portions are very generous. I often couldn't finish my meal.
We purchased one mug (11.99) the first day and used it for the whole trip (mornings DH would drink coffee from it and then the kids and I would share it to drink pink lemonade/water in the afternoon, in the evenings I would fill it with orange pop for myself)
Only complaint: the playground was very nice but not well lit once the sun went down (which is early) so the kids couldn't use it early evening. But thats ok there was so much else to see.
DD7 was invitied to sing in a Christmas performance one evening. It was great.
Any questions/comments, ask away!!
Overall, I would NOT hesitate to stay there again.
