Front what we saw the last time visiting friends (last month)
everything was clean.
Always remember-everyone is going to have a different perception of what they expect* it's a value resort.
It's not a deluxe property. For what you pay, you get a clean place on property, upkept, clean bathrooms/clean beds.
But it isn't the Grand Floridian.
Too many people post their upsets on these forums then it puts doubts in everyone's minds.
We stayed at all the Value's and never had a problem.
Any updates or questions you have you can call ressies or the hotel directly about any concerns they'll be able to tell you.
I was in the Hosptitality Industry for 10 years plus, and I am/was fussy.
Now that I am paying top dollar, I still firmly believe that unless you complain while you are there, about a leaky sink/dirty unvacumed floors/trash not being emptied * anything that harbors a health risk-Nothing I have ever seen comes close to anything like this, but I have experienced and see this on off properties more times than I can express!!!!! For a little more than staying at a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn express you get the "luxury" of being on site/on property and are able to enjoy the full experience of Disney/free buses to all the parks and security for yourself/your family (both visual and undercover), low cost family meals. So in my opinion you are getting much more for your dollar value than if you stayed off property in some other no name motel/hotel.
I have stayed at the deluxe property's as well, and can vouch that people have the same concerns for them as well-It's a Corporation that has built it's reputation on family and cleanlieness.
If anything seems out of the ordinary to you and it's to your disliking-
go and talk to the front desk mgr, that's what there job is to do, straighten things out for all guests to be happy and comfortable. But have realistic expectations. Last month we were checking in, we drive nearly 24 hours with two kids, etc etc and to hear some tourist yelling, why can't we do this or that at another person, really irked me and most of the people waiting to check in. They were looking for freebies for not being able to check in their room because their rooms weren't ready as yet-they arrived hours too early-
this is what I mean by having too high of an expectation.
They over stride to make sure each and every guest has the magical experience. Whether value, or Deluxe.
Once you return from your trip, the trip is over, nothing can be done about any bad* experience or something you didn't like.
But everyone be fair to everyone else-get it taken care of right away so that your hard earned vacation isn't wasted or then posted on here and get others worried about their trips.
I have seen this time and time again posted and posted on other boards as well. Believe it or not, there's millions of people who haven't got the opportunity to stay on a property and what is posted in black and white people take it for the honest truth.
From both a professional/personal opinion the Values are a great value.
Go and enjoy yourself. You will be very happy with your decision.
Each and every trip is an adventure, and should be looked at it like that, it's intangable, so everyone is trying to make the best situation for everyone.
There are alot of great posters on this board, who teach us new things and it's very interesting to learn new things.
Everyone enjoy their trips.
Pixie Dust to everyone!
