We will be returning to WDW this fall ( I can't wait to be home!). Last year we stayed in two rooms at POP since my nephew and mother went with us. However this year will be just the three of us (dh, I and ds6). I would like to stay at CSR, but my son has his little heart set on ASMo. It would cost us about $430 dollars more to stay at CSR and we don't spend much time at all at the resort so there are pros and cons to staying at either resort. I want to book soon, but I just can't make up my mind on my own......LOL :goodvibes What would you do?

CSR is my favorite and I'd stay there over any value resort.

First, I too like CSR, it is a great resort. However, we "upgraded" to POR on our last trip from ASMu(my son't first choice) and we were all dissapointed.

My kids wanted so badly to swim in the piano pool. We spent about $800 more to stay at a resort that we didn't like and in the end all I did was dissappoint my kids. It is not a good feeling. :(

There is something very appealing to kids at the value resorts and while you can get away with a comfortable stay in the values, I'd save the extra money for a later trip when your son is older and you need more room.

Just my 2 cents.

CSR has great transportation, food and the best pool/slide combo of the mods. You DS would not be disappointed. But if you do not plan on being at the resort much, you'll have to make that call as to whether or not the extra money is worth spending on amenities you won't get a chance to use.

If you plan on hanging out a lot at the resort I would say CSR. However I know when my kids were that age the loved AsMO because of the look and theming which was right at their level.

Hi
I voted for ASMO. CSR is beautiful, but for a younger child, ASMO might be better, especially if you don't spend a lot of time in the rooms. My DH and I stayed at CSR in December and we had a great time there, but it's really big, so there's a lot of walking. ASMO is perfect for smaller children, with the large colorful icons, food court and pools. Have a great time!!

Hi there,

We have stayed at both and I would choose CSR, simply because of transportaion and resort quality, although I understand the young kids priorities.

ASM is nice, we stayed at the Toy Story when it first opened with a 7 year old and she loved it. Remember it's a budget hotel.

If your son would be really happy at All Stars Music, by all means, do that! Extra money left over to spend on character meals or just eating out in general!

If you use the anemities at a resort though, Coronado Springs Resort by a landslide. For you, I picked All Stars, but I love the hottub, the fitness center, and the pool with the slide much better at CSR.

Thank you all for your responces, I think we might book for CSR for now, since we are not going until October I still have a while to think about it and if ds is still wanting ASMo (6 years old can change their minds very often ;) ) we can always change resorts before we leave. I'm sure he would love the boats and water at CSR as well as the waterslide and pool !
