I made our reservations back on March 1 for Shades of Green, for 9/3-9/9. I didn't think the free dining plan would work for us because we are getting the Florida seasonal passes. Then I read on here that I only had to get the 1-day Base ticket to qualify for the free dining for our whole trip. So, I figured it out and we can stay at CSR with free dining for roughly the same cost as SoG plus eating OOP (if we eat cheaply). SO, I talked it over with my dh and he agreed it would be a good deal.

Just got off the phone with Central Reservations and booked CSR for our trip with free dining! :cool1:

Now, I have to make more ADR's. I had already booked:

9/4: Le Cellier, 5:00
9/6: Play-N-Dine breakfast, 10:30
9/7: Chef Mickey's, 5:30

Suggestions? It's me, dh and 2 sons, 5 and 1.

:) We are going 10/11 - 10/20 and I have made all of our ADR's and I had a very good Disney Reservation person on the line. So we are going to try the Hoop-Dee-Doo-Revue Dinner and Show at the Fort Wilderness campground. It is suppose to be really good. Then with kids you cannot go wrong with Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, and then if I was you I would book a Fantasmic Package at one of the restaurants in MGM. We like Hollywood & Vine.:wizard:

We(me, DW, 2 daughters 2 and 6) will be doing Chef's Mickey's also at 5:30 on the 7th. This is a first time at CM for us. We are staying at POP 9/3 - 9/8 on free dining.

Here's our plan..and had no problems getting what I wanted(made these ADR's 2 weeks ago):

9/3 Labor Day - arrive noonish - check in - eat Pop Century Food Court then PP&P at 4pm till ...
9/4 Narcoossee's 7:30 (first time here...going for the lobster/steak)
9/5 LTT 8:00 (first time here)
9/6 Boma's 7:20(2nd time here..so far our favorite WDW place to eat)
9/7 CM 5:30

Darrin

Hi Darrin! How fun that we'll be at CM at the same time! If your 6-yr-old DD is as talkative as my 5-yr-old DS, they will probably find each other.

I called and got additional ADRs for:
9/5: Crystal Palace, 5:05 pm
9/9: OHana, 8:50 am (last thing before we head for home)

Have a great time! With kids around the same ages, we'll probably run into each other! :)

Hey! I am going to be at Narcooses on Sept. 4 at 7:00. I will be the one sitting by myself, soaking up the fact that hubby is at home with the three crumb crunchers and I am eating steak and lobster (for FREE!) at Disney World.:lmao:

As for the OP, I like the idea of HDDR. The kids might enjoy the petting zoo if you book the early show. LTT and Garden Grill are two other great character dinners. I just love the characters at dinner.

The kids might also enjoy dinner at Ohanas or Whispering Canyon Cafe (don't forget to ask for ketchup).

Enjoy your trip! ANd LeCellier, too!:goodvibes
