Here are all the badges you can get in Disneyland.

I have been to Disneyland three times and have yet to score the first visit button. I was so sad last time the girl behind the counter gave me an honorary citizen button and told me to keep trying. So I am going on a birthday trip and I hope to score the birthday button and the first time visit.

Go to City Hall, the Emporium, the Times Board to the left of the hub as youa re walking down Main Street, or Innoventions in Torrowland. Tell them it is your 1st time at Disneyland. They have buttons galore. pixiedust:

I'm guessing it's like WDW...everyone has a button, so nobody really gets any special treatment? I thought it was odd when the CM who checked us in to our hotel insisted my older son take a "1st Visit" badge even though he told her he'd been there when he was 4.

I tried to make an effort to congratulate all the "just marrieds"...but there were too many badges to bother with congratulating everyone. My boys wore their badges for 3 days before giving up on them. Sadly, it was my younger son's first trip...and none of the CMs ever commented on it!

Heya, I'm the one that took the photo =).

It's funny, when I first heard about the birthday celebration I thought it wasn't gonna be that good an idea (definately not matching the Year of a Million Dreams which I thought was really cool), and it'd be just another gimicky marketing campaign.

But boy it works! Every second group of people you see has someone wearing a birthday button! Disney really managed to pick a winner with this campaign.

I guess the downside is that with some many birthday-ers, the special treatment gets lost. I remember when I went to Walt Disney World for my sixteenth birthday, I got given free badges, stickers, a Star Wars trading card game, a Mickey spoon for my snow cone and a bunch of other stuff - oh, and a birthday phone call from Mickey (or was it Goofy). I'm guessing they don't have the time or the funds to do this anymore, which is a shame.

I've also tried to say happy birthday to all the badge wearers I see... but it gets too difficult lol! I said it to one woman once and she gave me the straaangest look as well >_<! You'd think she'd be more cheery if it was her birthday AND she was at Disneyland!!
