All My Fellow SONG Passengers

Here's my story,
I booked my Delta flights last Nov for this summer.

Do what I did. Go on FlySong.com and put in your name and confirm number. If that doesn't work, call 1-800-FLY-SONG.

My old Delta #'s totally changed and most importantly, I lost the assigned seats I secured last fall. A very professional Song employee on the phone found me new seats and e-mailed me new receipts. I then doubled check on line and I was there.

Flysong.com also has the the Direct TV channels and the menu. If you have kids like me, it might be fun to print out.

Good Luck,

Dave

I agree. I have contacted Song 3 times about different flight times & numbers. I now have 3 sets of etickets for my party. I have printed them all out and will take all of them to the airport with me, along with any new ones that I am sure will also be emailed to me. LOL I now check each night to see if there are any changes....
No need tro print those e-tix. It is best to simply check in on line before you head to the airport and print boarding passes off of your home computer. Then check your bags curbside and off to hang around the gate for the next 2 hours ;)

Will someone please explain the checking-in process. E>tickets are new to me.

Right now, I have a bar-coded paper that says it's my e>ticket. Do I need this when I go to the airport or do I just need the confirmation number?

And I thought you can only check in online if you have no checked bags? Or is that something about boarding passes?

I'm not an inexperienced traveler, but have only begun using e>tickets!

(copied from another post) Often on Delta and Song (and some other airlines), if there is a schedule change you must telephone (not use the web site) to re-make your seat assignments. This process also "accepts" the changes. Much of the time you can get a change to a different flight without paying a fee in this situation. The idea is that, if there is a schedule change, you should have the choice of whether the replacement flight is before or after the oritinally scheduled time (although it is the airline's choice of how much before or how much after, determined by availability of any seat).

It is not trivial to suddenly substitute a "Delta" 757 plane for a "Song" plane. The Song planes have six seats per row up front while the Delta planes have four seats per row up front. Also the row numbering is different in the middle and rear.

I thought that southbound flights had odd numbers while northbound flights had even numbers. So when I found that one of my recent bookings (BOS-MCO) had the same flight number both ways, I thought something must be unusual. Perhaps Orlando is considered a hub as far as that flight is concerned. The flight would then be a one-stop that originates in Boston, stops in Orlando, with continuing service to Boston.

If you are flying Delta. Print your boarding passes online before you go. If you have a 5:30 PM flight on a Friday, you can print your boarding passes starting at 5:30 PM on Thursday (24 hours before)
If you are checking luggage, Delta wants you to check it with the skycap outside. Then you can go directly to security.
