My husband and I will be visiting Orlando in September and go at least once of twice a year for a week. This trip we'll be staying at Bonnet Creek but going to Discovery Cove and Sea World and no Disney Parks (I may go throught withdrawal). We've decided to try all off-site restaurants this trip. We're looking for your favorite restaurants -- all prices ranges. Thanks for your help!

Love, love, love Pollo Tropical! It's a caribbean fast food place and the food was fantastic!!
We also love Mideviel Times. Don't waste money on the Pirate Adventure show that claims to be like it.
One of the best meals we had whiel we were there in March was at Macaroni Grill. We have one here, but the Orlando one was very superior.

Millers Pub, or something like that---I will ask my husband when he gets home. It was cheap, the food was good, and they had tons of TVs for sports (we only went to watch a Wings playoff game). It was a recommendation from a Disney bartender after she could not get the game we wanted.

Seasons 52
Sweet Tomatoes
Emeril's Orlando & Tchoup Chop
Bahama Breeze
Orlando Ale House
Bonefish Grill

Are you sure you really want to do this? Tickets to get into the parks are not cheap. Leaving the park to eat will take a lot more time out of your day than you think it will. Most places are not right outside the parks and I can imagine each exit will probably take 2 hours to do.

Not sure if you missed the part of her post where she said they aren't doing any Disney parks.

Yes, but she said she was going to Discovery Cove and Sea World, which are still parks -- just not Disney Parks.

I just check Discovery Cove and packages start at $199 a day. I wouldn't want to miss 2 hours of my day to leave the park at those prices.

But she is staying at Bonnet Creek which is "on-site" at Disney...I think they don't want to eat at any Disney restaurants while they are there. And at Discovery Cove, I believe food and drinks are included with your ticket price.

We really like Tijuana Flats for good, cheap, filling Mexican food.

Discovery Cove, your food is included, but not dinner. More lunch type meals in the middle of the day with snacks and beverages included all day. Since the park closes early, like 6 or 7pm, dinner off site is usually a must.
Sea World also closes really early in September, so you more than likely wind up off site for dinner.

Orlando Ale House. There's two of them, one on John Young Parkway and north of Town Center Blvd, in Hunter's Creek. The other is a block north of DTD entrance on 535. Both of them can be fairly crowded.

Logan's Roadhouse. This is located in the Publix shopping plaza on International Dr S and 192, Just south of Gaylord Palms. I love this place and they usually have 2 meals for 15$, 1 entrée and 2 sides with each meal. The sale is Mon-Wen all day or weekdays 4-6pm.

Tavern on the Lake. Located north of Disney property, near the Metro West area. They have certificates on the restaurant.com site. The food was good, but keep an eye on the tab even with the coupon.

Smokey Bones. Never tried it, but I've heard it's really good. Located on 535 and 192 in the Publix shopping plaza.

Sonny's. I love a good BBQ, and they have great sweet tea. Reasonably priced and sometimes a little cheaper than the average sit down. You'll have to google this one, I know there's one out in St Cloud, but probably not the direction you want to go.

There's usually buy 1 get 1 free coupons for Medieval Times on 192. Never been there myself, but never heard of a disappointed customer either.

If you want expensive, you could also try the restaurants located inside of Gaylord Palms, if you've never been there. If you do eat there, they will validate your parking. I've eaten on the boat one, and loved it. Never had the money to try the steakhouse one.

Crisper's is a salad-soup kind of place, owned by Publix. There's one located in Hunter's Creek in the Publix Plaza.

As far as right next to Sea World gate, which would only take you 20-30 minutes extra for eating off-site rather than on-site.
There's a Friday's, KFC, Wendy's, McD's and a few others.

We love Nile Ethopian on International Drive and Camila's Restaurant, which is a Brazilian Buffet. Yummy food I can't get at home. :goodvibes

Discovery Cove includes all the food, beverages and snacks you could eat. When we entered, there was a continental breakfast bar- muffins, cereal, fruit, oatmeal (Quaker Instant) etc... There was also juice, coffee and tea.

For lunch, we went back to the same place and there was a buffet lunch that you could eat at until you exploded. It was not serve yourself- there were people behind the counter serving. I like that better because I just don't love the whole buffet thing, especially where kids are concernedd (while Mom is getting the food, Junior is sampling- YUCK!!) There were burgers, cheeseburgers, salmon, chicken, and much much more. The food was surprisingly good!!! There was also an abundant supply of yummy dessert.

For snacks, there were unlimited single serving size of assorted Lays products and Rolled Gold pretzels. There was unlimited Anheiser-Busch beer, including Shock Tops. We rented a private cabana and our hostess kept it fully stocked all day long.;)

The day goes so fast, I would not leave Discovery Cove for five minutes!

I would suggest eating lunch in a park on park days and then eating a late dinner. Bahama Breeze is great.

We really like these:

Logans
Crispers
Sweet Tomatoes (Check online for 2 for 1 coupons)
Bahama Breeze
Macaroni Grill
Johnnie's Hideaway (expensive)
Chevy's (mexican)
Houlihans
Seito Sushi (in Celebration)
Market Street Cafe (Celebration)
Kobe steakhouse
