Has anyone been to an all-inclusive vacation place that they really enjoyed? We had decided that we wouldn't do a big vacation this summer but now I've got the vacation bug. We love Disney but since we live in Colorado, it is quite far for us to go too often. Also I think we'd like to do something different.

I've looked a bit at Mexico and Hawaii but Hawaii doesn't seem to have any hotels with meals included. Also since I'm a princess I'd like a hotel like a WDW Deluxe.

Any other all inclusive places that you'd recommend? It would be my husband, me, DD14 and DS13.

Thanks so much,
Elise

I've stayed at 2 all inclusive resorts:

1. Radisson Cable Beach in the Bahamas. Awesome, awesome, awesome! The hotel was beautiful and the pool was huge! I really enjoyed this. We didn't really leave the compound much, but that's because there was so much to do there.

2. Gran Caribe Real in Cancun. My dad took us here for his 50th birthday. I had a great time! The hotel is all open air and all marble. My sister and I lucked out and got a corner room. We no doubt had the best view in the entire resort. The bathroom was all marble and bigger than any deluxe bathroom I've ever seen. My sister and I went parasailing, which was so great.

I can't really pick a best one, because they were both great. Any more questions, I'll be glad to answer them. Hope this helps!

You read my mind...

As DH and I were chatting about this today, I said " this sound like a cruise." Actually I would love to go on a cruise. My DH and i have been on about 4 cruises and we took the kids on Royal Caribbean 's Voyager a few years ago and loved it. Maybe a cruise is the way to go.

I think I'm still at the "exploring options" phase so want to see what else is out there.

want to consider Punta Cana - all resorts there are all inclusive. We stayed at a 5 star resort last year - there are also a couple of 6 star's. The beaches were immaculate and the weather / service was great! Inexpensive too!

Check out Apple Vacations.

In the late 80's early 90's, I went to Club Med a few times. It was a blast! I've been eyeballing the Sandpiper (their Florida, Boca Raton area, family club.)

My Doctor goes to Beaches every year with his 3 kids. They all love it. It looks very nice, but rather expensive.

I've done a couple of cruises too. I really loved them, Unfortunatly, my dh refuses to cruise  . (I figure, when she's a bit older, Brittany & I will go.) They have a bunch of cruises out of NYC now. How abt a cruise from there, then a long w/end shopping and going to a show or two!

I have gone to Sandals, Breezes, Club Med and cruises (all pre kids). My favorite is Sandals. Restuarants and service were better.I definatley would look into beaches it is the same as Sandals except for families. I also know that some Club Meds offer childrens' programs and I think they are less expensive.

We are big fans of Couples Ocho Rios in Jamica. Its a very romantic resort thats for couples only (no kids). The service and food are exceptional. My wife and I will be returning for our forth visit in June. Heres a link to their web site if you are interested:

Another vote for Apple vacations. My parents went on an all inclusive vacaion to Cancun through them just 2 years ago, and absolutely loved it. I can't remeber the hotel they stayed in but i assure you that it was every bit as nice a deluxe hotel in WDW. And my mother could not stop saying how much she loved the ppl down there as well as the hotel staff. This is from a woman who had NEVER wanted to go to mexico. They just took a short weekend and both are very glad that their travel agent talked them into it. I think that's the only vacation they ever took without planning it for 6 months. They actually booked and traveled all in less than 2 weeks.

I do remeber their hotel being in the Playa Del Carmen section of Cancun if that helps. But check out Apple. It really is all inclusive, they even have their own airline specifically for them.

Good luck
