Post your question with general budget idea [for example 'I would like to spend $X total with or without airfare, etc...]

I can recommend Secrets Capri in Playa Del Carmen [30 min south of Cancun]. It is a 5 star All-Inclusive. It's exensive but fantastic! :sunny:

I am not typically an all-inclusive type person, but this changed my mind! If you want to do non all-inclusive I could suggest other locations as well.

Yes, I would definitely consider Iberostar resorts.

DH and I had been to Sandals before we have kids. This year I thought they are at the age that we can go to All-inclusive. I have never been to Cancun, my initial plan was to Nassau, but then I found a really cheap package from Northwest. I did some research on Crown Paradise Club, mainly based on tripadvisor, while the resort may not be 5*, but it is kid friendly, hence I booked the package.

However, in the last few days, the review has been very bad, some even mentioned being robbed (with things stolen from the hotel room), and the good review may very well be written by the employees, I am not suprised because many emphasized on tipping.

I am really worry. Please tell me it is not as bad as it was reported.

P.S. I understand it may be off-topic, but if the bad review were true, at least it helps to know that we cannot base our research on tripadvisor or other review site.

We stayed at the Crown Paradise in March 2005 -- before the hurricanes came through. It is a nice hotel with a lot to do for the kids -- kids club, kids water slides, nice beach, etc. It was good -- not a 5 star, but definately 31/2. The floors are tile and the beds are a little hard, but it seems like most places in Mexico are like that. The rooms we were in all had in room safes with a key. We always locked away our wallets and camera ( if not using) in the safe and kept the key with us. I probably wouldn't worry about theft there more than any other resort.

Don't worry too much -- I saw good and bad reviews on the message boards. It seems like people only write in when they really hate something. You don't hear from the hundreds that were there and had a good time. Have a great time!!!

Thank you so much.
I have read extreme reviews of both sides on tripadvisor that I don't know what to believe. In fact, I even went out to buy some locks today.
I know I can always count on this board and I feel much better now.

I've only done two all-inclusives. The first was for our honeymoon. We went to Tahiti and stayed at club-med. It was fantastic. I loved Tahiti (Bora Bora and Morea) and hope to someday go back. It is just so beautiful there, and we had the best time ever!

The second time was to Mexico. We stayed at the Royal Hideaway and had a great time. It's a beautiful resort!
