We stepped off the Wonder yesterday and into the real world (nothing like re-packing on the airport floor to remind us what a scary world we live in), but it was such a wonderful 4 days!

It was our first ever cruise, first trip to the World (other than MK in the 1970's), and first time out of the country, so I spent most of it very wide-eyed!

Here are some of the moments that I'll never forget:
1. giggling with my 19 year old as we tried to snorkle with the stingrays. We were pretty inept, but it was so AWESOME to giggle together about it! :goodvibes

2. falling in "love" with Tigger, as he gave me the biggest hug at Crystal Palace before the cruise!

3. watching the ENTIRE show of "The Golden Mickeys" with amazement at what they could do at sea! :Pinkbounc

4. swimming in the adult pool at midnight on our last day at sea. :sad2:

Thanks again to the great people who read and respond on this board for all the good advice! I guess I'll have to start reading and answering now that I'm back!

Glad you had such a wonderful experience.

You are now officially (as I put it) "sucked into the vortex" with no means of escape. :rotfl2:

Your life will now be based on "how many more days until my next cruise"?

We all couldn't be happier for you :cool1:

We saw the stingrays on CC. It was a good first snorkling experience; I can't imagine what would have happened if we couldn't touch the bottom! :rotfl:

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time. We're leaving 8/20 on the Wonder and CAN'T WAIT :cheer2: It's our second time but it's been a long time coming (last sailed in 2000).

did they offer a tour of the galley? I heard they do this on the 4 day.
Also, if you had little ones, was there "Tea with Wendy" at the kid's club?

Glad you had a great time, you will now become addicted to this board and will find yourself booking cruises without telling your family, and finding ways to cope until your next cruise! :teeth: :goodvibes

There was a tour of the galley on the sea day, but we were so busy we didn't get to it. I didn't notice about Tea because I only had a 19 year old (who IS a little one to me, but probably not what you meant!) :rotfl:

Honestly, the best parts of the trip for me were the shows and the special parties. Fireworks at sea are just AMAZING!

SO glad you had a fantastic cruise! I wish we had seen you (or maybe we did :goodvibes ) while on the Wonder. It was VERY hard to leave wasn't it? Then to step into travel hell on the way home was more than a shock to the system! Oh well....we have lots of stories for years to come now.

So glad you made it home safe and sound and that you had the time of your life. Now....when will you sail again is the question! :hourglass

:thumbsup2 Glad you had a great time. However, we like trip reports.. :rolleyes1

This will by our first cruise and I love reading first time cruiser reports...

Thanks
Denise

Well, I hadn't INTENDED on writing a trip report, but my little thoughts about the trip were MOVED to this place where I feel rather inadequate! :rotfl:

Perhaps I will write more, but I must check with the 19 year old, as privacy is the word of the day with her these days, and if she found out I wrote about her she would be seriously upset. And, since it was just the two of us, it would be kinda hard not to write about her!

Reading the other wonderful trip report about a mom and daughter's trip, I can tell you we had wonderful tablemates, and I wish Kelly and her daughter were at OUR table (except I bet 8:30 would have been a little late for them)! We met for movies, shows, bingo, and even rode the bus to the airport together. I think Pearl, our amazing server, was part of that magic; she knew to leave us alone to bond and then be there when we needed her. It is especially nice when you're the only adult in your family, to have other adults to chat with at dinner, I must say.
