We plan to do half days in the parks....park hopping.

A.M. Epcot early entry and then P.M. Magic Kingdom for Christmas party.

We plan to do this everyday....just spending part of the day at 2 different parks.

Does anyone else do this or do you spend the whole day at one park??

We usually dedicate one full day to each park (to date, my family's longest WDW vacay was 5 nights, 4 days and we don't visit the parks on arrival or departure day).

I find that I get less attractions under my belt when I hop in the middle of the day. We usually get park hoppers to use for evenings - example: we may want to spend our last day at Epcot, but that's the only day of the week that SpectroMagic will be running while we're there.

But that's just my experience. If hopping works better for you and whomever you're going with more power to you!

We just came back from our first one park per day trip in a looong time (possibly since there was just one park, LOL!) We were planning to do three days with parkhoppers til I looked at the price and realized we could save $30-40 by doing 4 or 5 days at single parks.

So day one we did Epcot in the morning, went back to the hotel and relax, then back to Epcot at night for EMH.

Day 2 we went to AK just after opening and covered the park by early afternoon, went back to the hotel and relaxed before dinner at Cali Grill.

Day 3 we did MK in the morning, went back in the afternoon to nap, came back in the evening just in time for parade, fireworks, and EMH.

Day 4 we relaxed all day then headed to MK for MNSSHP.

Day 5 we slept in and hit the Studios by 11 and back to the hotel midafternoon, relaxed and got ready for dinner then headed to Downtown Disney for last minute souvenir shopping.

I felt like we got SO much more covered by doing it this way than we ever did parkhopping. I don't know if parkhopping will ever be a priority for me now that I see how much more relaxing and efficient this trip was AND saved us a good chunk of money.

I'm a hopper, for sure. I love my midday break (usually I'm there at the absolutely busiest times of year), and I love to skip the crowds. I'm adventurous, so I like to explore everything WDW has to offer. Boat rides, fishing trips, water parks, DTD shows, restaurants, and shopping, resort hopping and dining...you name it! I also like the evenings in the parks, especially during the busy times of year when the parks are open late. Many times I end up in a different park than I started the day with. It's just more interesting that way. I don't care so much about ticking off attractions, just hit the ones that float my personal boat, and I consider Disney Transportation part of the whole experience, too, so riding aimlessly on busses can be a thrill for me, too. Go figure.

I'm with UrsulasShadow. We own DVC and go a lot, so we "cherry pick" our favorites at the parks, take it slow, and take advantage of the many activites outside the parks and at our resort during the afternoons and sometimes mornings.

that's what i've always done. We do a park in the morning, go back to the resort for a nap if needed and then go to a park in the evening. my trips normally are 5 to 7 days and we tend to do half days on travel days.

Half days here too. Even if we end up doing a full day at the same park, we still leave for a break during midday to go back to our DVC resort and relax.

We like breaking up the day and the monotony of one park. We like to utilize the things that are at the resort and our mid day break takes care of that. Then for the evening we hit a different park. We figure out our game plan, flexible, before leaving home. We stay usually about 9-12 nights and we plan to be in each park for the closing ceremonies at least once and get it all done. Our favorite park is the MK and we do sytay in that area, resort, to make getting there easier. We hsve hoppers or AP's and pop into the MK at any given whem, maybe just for a Casey hot dog. When we do the half days at parks, it seems to us at least that there's 8 different parks instead of 4. Also, some parks are better and different in the night time and we enjoy the night better than the hot day.

We always hop.... this most recent trip, there was only one day that we went back into the same park on the same day after our mid-day break (we ALWAYS take a mid-day break esp. with small kids!!!! :) )

We hop - a lot. However, we also spend at least a full day at MK each trip. I find MGM to be no more than half a day and usually split Epcot up. AK usually takes 2/3 of a day so we hop to Epcot for the evening. We have done a one day-four park extravaganza.

We have always hopped, mostly due to am EMH's. We stay till the crowds pick up, go back to the room for a break then on to another park.

We usually do the first part of the day at one park until about 2:00 PM or so. Then we go back to our resort for a swim and or rest. We head back out of the resort around dinner time. Sometimes we go to another resort for dinner and sometimes we go to a park. Our evening park is usually only for fireworks, SpecroMagic or Fantasmic.

We usually go at busy times when the parks are open until at least 9:00 or 10:00 and even later.

We always take a mid day break but the hopping is not a problem since we have seasonal annual passes. We usually go for 3 nights with 3 days in parks and the morning that we leave we usually hit DTD to shopping at World of Disney. We get to the parks first thing in the morning and leave the 1st park around noon or 1PM to head back to the resort to check the resort out and then get ready to go back to the park around 4 - 4:30 PM. This last trip we used this to our advantage because the rides we wanted to do were to busy on Saturday night but I knew if we hit them first thing Sunday morning we could do them. But we didn't want to spend the whole day at MK so we hopped the monorail to Epcot. From there we took a break and went back to the resort and swam and then went back to Epcot. Normally we do MGM and AK in the same day - it always seems to work out that the day I plan AK is the EMH AM day so we get there early and get done what we want to do (like Everest 3 times to make my grand total 10!!!) then we did MGM in the evening and finally saw Fantasmic. All in all it worked great!! I love to park hop!!

I can't recall the last time (if ever) we stayed at one park until we were through for the day. Our habit is to hit a non-Epcot park early in the morning, tour there until we get out fill or crowds get unbearable, then we hop to Epcot for the balance of the day. Since 2000 we've stayed at Swan, Dolphin or BoardWalk so this works really well for us.

Another half-day hopper here. Part of that now is the way we do Disney. DH golfs every morning, so I go to a park solo. Mid-day, we meet up back at our resort or meet for lunch somewhere, rest around the resort a little, then go to a park, which for some reason is never the same one I spent the morning at. Even on my solo trips, I always go back mid-day to rest and "resort" a little (swim, read, etc.)

We usually stay in one park for the majority of the day but always get thehopper option just in case. In comes in handy if a park is really crowded or just not our thing that day. ALso is great if we want to go to dinner in EPCOT or catch those last minute things on our last day. that is usually when we use it the most.
