All good things come to those who wait - July 2010

You can get SO MUCH in during a morning -- it definitely looks like you got a good "day" in by lunchtime!! ;)

How did your children like the Splash drop?

And that salad looked pretty good... to either be topped off with the banana split, or that chocolate-dripping cake!!!

Signing on! You have a beautiful family! Busy first day after such a long trip!
Plaza looks good, I've never eaten there.

We felt like we had been in a whirlwind and had done lots :) The kids loved the drop it they wanted to go straight back on but no FPs and the queue was way too long to wait in as we had to get over to the plaza. Yeah salads need to be finished off with something sweet :thumbsup2

Hey you made it over great :cool1: I have not had much time this week to get DISing but I hope to make up for that this today :thumbsup2 I am finding the hardest part of running a TR getting the pics downloaded for some reason the sizes never quite work right even when I edit these :confused3

We had a funfilled first day, we were really pleased to have covered so many things in such a short time I just have one more section to add then I will be onto out first water park :goodvibes

On our way out the park we wanted DD2 to have her first haircut, we made our way to the barbers just off main street. It was v quite and she was taken straight away. The CMs were great and started off with giving her mickey stickers to play with, she sat really still and played with her dummy whilst pulling the stickers from her clothes :dumbo:

DD1 quite like the idea so she was taken next

We did plan of leaving MK earlier than 4pm as we needed to collect our hired cars from the car care centre. It was a bit tight but DH arrived just a minute before 6pm :thumbsup2 We wanted to visit walmart and pick up some essentials. The kids were feeling rather hungry on the way round so they ate onion rings whist we shopped. They were all tired by the time we got back to our car . We arrived back at POR with three sleeping children, DH had to make three trips in to the room whilst I put them all to bed, exhausted from a truly magical day :littleangel:

Time to load up some more pics and I can get writing our 2nd day...................

Love the hair do pictures! Did they put your DD1s hair up aswell. Looked similar to the bibbidi bobbidi boutique style. V nice!!!

Whew, you can see how hot it was by looking at everyone's face.

Wow, you got a lot done during your morning at MK!! Plaza looks delish!! I am looking forward to trying it on my family's upcoming trip. :goodvibes

Cute hair cuts!! Did you leave DD's hair for a few days or so?

It was like the BBB style they asked if she wanted it put into a bun and we said yes, not expecting it to be like that sytle :goodvibes

Wew were v hot and sticky but that point even after our air con lunch :cool2: Think the early start and early breakfast made a big diff to what we managed to fit in, our other days never quite matched up! Yes we left the hairstyle in for a few days it lasted really well even in and out of the pool :goodvibes

Loving all the pics!! It looks like you all had a lot of fun despite the heat!:cool1:

I am glad you have some food pics. My DH would so love that banana split. I am not a big fan of bananas, but he loves them.

I can't believe you got into the barbershop without having to wait. Especially in July! You sure did get a lot done! Did it feel super crowded to you? I have never been in the summer because I am afraid of the crowds. Can't wait to hear more!

Those were such precious pictures!! Not too many kids can say they had their hair cut at MK, so you really have some great memories for them...or, at least your oldest DD. ;)

What a great idea to give your DD stickers, to distract her! Disney does it right. :thumbsup2

The heat was hard at times but didn't stop us :thumbsup2 We just thought of the lovely swim in the pool when we got back to hotel  We took food pics as we can never remember what we eat :rotfl: Sort of a reminder. Think the no wait in barbershop was about the timing when we went in, it was around 3pm. Not sure if it felt super crowded but it was busy busy, if there was a 90 min wait we were like lets go and do a FP and come back, that wait time was a bit frustrating when it was mid afternoon the heat was getting to us and a water ride was just way too long and we didn't have a FP, that was a cue to head back to hotel :goodvibes

DD1 has been full of stories since we got back which has been nice, she was only 2 our last visit so doesn't really remember much about that trip. Disney certainly does, I was kind of unsure how she would be as she is a real mover but she was perfect sat like a little princess :goodvibes

Hey everyone we have had a busy weekend with house stuff so missed out DISing :sad2: Will be back later today with an update :)

Hey everyone sorry about the missing in action DISer. Had illness in the household everything is on the mend now so can get back on track with my TR :goodvibes

Hey everyone back on track hopefully with this TR  A combination of illness and a busy couple of weeks has meant less time to be DISing :sad2: Hope that you are still entertained.

DD2 decided that we were to rise early this morning, 4:20am :scared1::scared1: DH and DD2 went touring around POR whilst we slept until a sensible hour to rise. We still had to unpack so Gran and Grandad took the kids out for some breakfast whist we uppacked and organised for our Day. We were heading to

I didn’t managed to take many pictures but our photopass has arrived so I will post some of these. DD2 couldn’t last much longer the early start, heat and swimming tired her out.

TL was v busy and v hot so we had some lunch and headed back to the pool at POR to relax before we had to shower, change and leave for

DSCF8930.jpg

When we arrived back at POR the kids said hello to some new friends

All bathed and change it was time to go

What a night we had it was great. We have read negative reports on this but DS, DD1 & DD2 loved it. They ate and danced the night away.

The highlights from today was DD1 going up and down the slide beside the main pool in TL at least one hundred times and never getting bored with it :thumbsup2 DD2 was unhappy this day and still hadn’t quite adjusted to the heat or the timezone. Would she get any better :confused3

Day 3 coming up .................................

Awww...glad you're back & everything seems okay now -- I've never seen pictures of this Backyard BBQ before!! Thanks for posting them, and I hope your DD2 finally gets adjusted before long! ;)
